Approx 80 gallons at start of veg and im sure as the root mass grows that amount should go down quite a bit. Ill be keeping a hawks eye on it. Keeping acurate readings as i go. I do got some sativa strains on the way too. So im not scared to get plenty of what them ladies need. :joint:
Damn that's huge. Depending on how long you are going for and how high a ppm, as a safe estimate of what you will use this grow. What I mean is if you buy this much you shoud have a little left over at the end, but not too much. This is off a 4 week veg and 12 week flower counting all 80 gal. You could even get away with only flooding the buckets halfway once the roots are mackin.

2 L - Zone
3 L - Silica
15 L - Add 2.7
3 L - Gold Grow A
3 L - Gold Grow B
13 L - Gold Flower A
13 L - Gold Flower B

That's gonna be a pretty penny. But man you are gonna get a lot of herb from that.

Yeah thats what i figured, well too late to turn back now. I will check prices and see. Any good spots you know of to get DM nutes. I will check a few spots i know of. Thanks Pal. kiss-ass1BMM:peace:

Plantlightinghydroponics.com has the Gold nutes, silica, and zone.

Wormsway.com has the Add 2.7 but not the others It's a conspiracy I tell you.

There are probably sites you can order everything together. Watch out though... gonna be a lot to ship I'm sure. Liquid is heavy.

Hey Jig i was just checking out the Dutch Masters website. I was looking at the calculator pages Heres the link http://www.dutchmaster.com.au/nutrient_calculator.php?language=english

I checked gallons +3 flower 80 gal.

I got a couple questions regarding the weekly feeding schedule. So im gonna fire away here.

1.Every week the ml amount goes up. Does this mean i can add to the original bactch to match that totoal amount for each nute & additives. OR Doe i need to mix a whole new batch of nutes?

2. Whats better EC or PPM for keeping things in check.

3. If the res batch can just be added to and adjusted as things progress, How often should the whole batch be remixed with new nutes and water?

That i think covers it. I love this chart it looks so simple to follow. Its gonna be a brain boggler to keep the batch stable and adding back what the plants consume. + adding more. Will have to keep a log of it. Thanks for any advice bro. Peace 1BMM:hug:

Ok been doing me homework today. I found a hydro shop about an hour drive from here. They quoted me $650.00 for the amounts my bud Jigfresh specified.

:shock:Holy shit. THATS EXP..............

And that is on top of me driving an hour each way.

So thats enough for one grow I hope.

Maybe im going for too much here. Soil growing is deff cheaper. How ever i am determined to keep the course. Ill try it but man i feel ass raped. Hopefully the end will justify the means. If not it wouldnt be hard to go back to soil. Just the constant hauling in and out grow after grow. If this stuff gives me 3-4 oz per plant I will be hydro for life. At any rate its gonna be a couple weeks before i can splurge on that. But def going to do it. Got to get back to work first. Peace 1BMM.......

Ok bro. I forget this is your absolute first time messing with hydro. I absolutely love it. And I think you will too. I like it for the control... I'm a control freak sometimes (when I'm not sleeping).

I'll answer question 2 first. EC and ppm are simply a multiple of eachother... so 1 EC = 500 ppm... however this get's tricky fast when comparing becuase different meter companies have different conversion rates... so some 1 EC = 700 ppm. Don't ask what the thinking is, I can't figure that one out.

So... don't mind all that. I just use ppm. It's a more graduated way of measuring, so more exact. Plus us folks understand ppm levels. So use ppm.

Now... about the rez change. You will want to change the whole load every week or two... Since you are running so much damn water... I think 2 weeks will work just fine. I'll explain about what to do with the water next... but as a rule of thumb, you'll want to dump and replace stuff every 2 weeks.

.....:o...... I need to smoke bro. I'll finish this up in another post. I'm smoking this one for Your hangover... hope you feel better over there.

Lol good deal Jig. Yep all better just had to sleep it of. Late night last night. Ok so first thank you for explaing that bit to me. I was leaning toward the ppm. Every 2 weeks, That sounds reasonable. Just dont want to have to change the whole mix everytime the ppm is scheduled to go up. According to the feeding chart that is. I think i ve got a good grip on it now. Just wanna be ready when the time comes. Still need a few things yet before i really get it rolling. Mainly plants lol. But still need a good ph meter and ppm meter. So im just putzin for now hehe. well gonna go get me a puff in too. Peace bro. 1BMM

Excellnt thank you for that GG. Will be doing some major shopping here soon.

Good news to report. I got a 100% confirmed female. #1 from my previous pics. #3 was a male. He got the death sentence just a few min ago. Since i topped them the other day they are bushing up quick. Fkn ayy right. Im gonna let #1 veg for a week and boost up the veg nutes a bit. Should be able to get a set/15 clones from her by then. Wont be long now my friends.Im still unsure of #2. I suspect its a male though. #3 had a fkn nanner on it already. Ill get some pics up of the new mom tommorow. Peace my friends. 1BMM:bigjoint:

Umm icant really remember at the moment. Go to the 600 on one of the last few pages. I think you just click the link where DST posted him, Copy his url and past image on the sig edit page. I was extremy baked when i did it. lol but that is how i got him in there. Sig picture option on the sid edit page. hope that helps. Peace. 1BMM

Alright bru. This is the kinda thing I think everyone does differently depending on taste. First off, the reason the chart has the escalating numbers is that DM thinks the plant is going to want that much to be happy. Those numbers are pretty damn high. For example my grow with the CJ and SG... my ppms never ever got above 1200. And that was after they climbed. I filled the tanks to mearure around 1000-1080. The DM calandar goes up to 1750. That's too high most of the time. Not always. So that's that.

The great thing about DWC and I think this will be the case in your setup as well, is that you can tell how hungry the plants are by watching the ppms. So if you fill the tank fresh to measure 1000 ppm. And you check the next day and it reads 1100. That means the plants drank more water than they took nutrients, so the ppms climbed. If you fill the tank and the next day it is 900, it's the opposite, so the plants want more nutrients than water. So you can adjust using that little rule.

Ok when it comes to what you would actully do. I think flower is easier because the nutrient levels usually don't change much, during veg you want to ramp it up as the girls grow real quick... so you can adjust on the fly... ie add more nutrients to the main rez. During flower you will want to do it like this.

So, let's say it's around week 3 of flower. They will probably be at their peak as far as how 'hungry' they will get. You will have an idea how much nutrients they want from before, for example let's use 1000 ppm. I would think the full 80 gall a bit much with the roots big... not like it's too much, just not all necessary. So say 65 gallons. I'd drain what was there before and start filling up the water. In case you didn't see it there are instructons as to what to add to the water first on the DM site. I beleive you add silica first when there is less than half the water, then zone, add 2.7, and cal-mag when things are more than halfway... then you add the nutes toward the end.

So... I would add the recommended ammount of Silica, Zone, and Add2.7, along with 5-10 mL/ gal of Cal-mag (you should be able to tell what the girls want here to thoughout the grow). Then I would add whatever nutrients to get the ppm to the desired place. (this is something you will need to learn as well.... ie 70 mL of Gold Flower A = around 200 ppm in 65 gal of water).

Damn man... I'm making this sound complicated as hell. It's really not that tough.

So anyways... we'll fill up say 65 gal... and have that sitting at 1000 ppm. Run that for a couple days and check the water level and the ppm. Becuase you have so much water, I expect your plants not to drinnk too much of the volume. I mean I don't think they are going to drink 65 gal in 14 days... or anywhere near that. So a couple days into it, if the ppms are pretty stable, just do nothing. Let them drink. If the ppms are getting higher... dump in more water till you get to say 900 ppm. See what the plants do with that over the next couple days. Basically you want the ppms to be stable.

Say you get exactly how many nutrients they want, so no need to add anything. I would just watch the water level, and if it gets to half of what you put in... like 32 gallons... I would just add more water to finish out the two weeks. If you do get that low it will be close to changing time.

Oh... one thing I forgot... If you are using RO water you are going to need Cal-Mag. I use Botanicare I think. They are all the same pretty much.

I think that's kinda the overall idea. I haven't mentioned pH yet... we'll get there. Let me know if that is unclear. :bigjoint:

Not confusing at all my friend. I follow :bigjoint:. Its really making sense to me. Ive been doing a ton of reading up on the whole thing. I like how you can tell what the plants are using. Thats one thing ive not heard anyone else say. Im sure it will be a little nerve racking till i get it down. But overall sounds pretty easy and not real time consuming. That i like being ill be one busy S.O.B real soon here with work. Im starting to think this may be worth while endeavor after all. Like i said 3-4 oz per plant would make it worth every cent. Now i just hope i can keep the smell in check cuz thats alot of bud. about 3lbs. give or take.

I have the option of running the room sealed with ac. may be one way. well see.

Thanks again for that very clear explanation Jig. I tend to catch on to things a little quicker than the average joe. Thanks bru. Peace 1BMM id + rep ya but got to spread it around more first lol. laters.
