So sativa starts flowering the middle of June outdoors? If that's the case I gotta get some lol. Am I missing something here? And yes I agree not done but I don't agree that it's a normal photo if started and kept outdoors.
Some equatorial strains get near 12/12 all year and kind of auto flower.

I've seen some early sativas strains that claim to start flowering around mid Jul.

I've seen some non-equatorial strains not flower untill less then 11.5 hours of light, they were indica doms too but they've been growing out here in the wild with never over 13 hours of light for 4 decades which would explain it.

Its crazy how adaptable they get

It is wild for sure.

I have a couple Mexican strains that barley finished here in my climate. They flower a lot earlier now. Just crossing from the same strain from year to year.

That's how we get all the different types of cannabis. Just lime ruderalis. It is believed it started from domestic photoperiod hemp and adapted to auto flower.

Crazy for sure.

I've had one or two that started then too but never ever one that was done now and op's light schedule is pretty much the same as here I would think. These are like on the verge of finished not just starting so I'm still thinking full fledged auto even with the indirect light of a balcony.

Yup not light but time, that being said they take a half a year to finish lol. That's all we had here for the most part in the early years was bag seed from the south. Very rare would we get an indica plant. Yup finishing was a dream that didn't happen much lol.

It may very well be an auto. They have long flowering sativa dominant ones now.

I worked some long enough to finish. Some very nice mango and fruity ones. Some smell of chocolate and spice with sandalwood.

That's not a bad ideal actually, start an equatorial strain indoors and just as it flowering in spring throw it out, may have to try that. Would it reveg if the days started to go longer than 12-13 hours of light?

I've grown mataro blue auto, which in fact is not a true auto and perhaps somewhat like ATF but needed a short light cycle to bloom. Northern lights auto from crap king seeds, pandora from ???? you'd have to google lol, but it sucked and got bud rot in August (possibly not its fault but the only strain that got it). Can't remember the first one I grew but last years think different was pretty ok but, pheno dependant for the pretty ok stuff, others were just ok lol. I've read a few reviews about the ABM and some were "it's ok", and some were "it's amazing". I've been mostly disappointed even with newer Photo's that are reviewed as "amazing smoke", takes a lot to amaze a guy who has smoked a gazillion pounds since 1974 lol.

Dutch passion, mephisto, dinafem, fast buds, are breeders to grow their autos..paradise seeds, and sweet seeds too..

I am busy doing just that except it is winter as I am in the southern hemisphere, seeds started at the beginning of May, which is like November over there.
These girls are normally not ready for harvest before mid April here.

Okay cool, I'm much less worried now that I know it could be much longer.

So generally, it's possible to have traits of an auto and photo? And it would make sense that it's a mix of both because I've also heard rumors that ATF isn't found as auto, which confused me originally. Like I said the plant started flowering in April and didn't stop even as the days got longer. My balcony gets direct sunlight (of course it changes throughout the season) from 11-6. Indirect from 6-11 and 6-8. I'm continuing to feed/water it. However I've found that I have to water it much less over the past month or so.

I'll keep it going until I see the pistils receding and turning orange. I'll keep everyone posted. This is a very interesting plant to me.

And again, THANKS to everyone who's taking their time out to help.

Ya it shouldnt be too much longer . I would pay attention to the trichomes more so then the hairs honestly. The hair trick works with a lot of photo's and most autos I've grown. But this would be the time to bring the scope out or take a close up pic and zoom in. Glad you didn't chop it too early. I read somewhere that smoking premature sativa robs you of REM sleep and can cause a more angry temperament in daily life ... Don't know how true it is just something I read a few years back. Good luck to you brother and happy smoking. Beautiful plant by the way you did a fine job

Actually I think it was Paradise that had the Pandora (could be wrong) and it was crap that got PM so double crap lol. And so far DP for the win, I'll let you know in about 3-4 weeks how my second attempt with their stuff goes.

if DP is in the lead then youre in for a surprise when you finally get a good one .... anything from dinafem normally knocks it out the park .... mephisto is the popular ones at the moment

Mephisto is next, I've also got two gg auto's going now.
ive noticed the better strains usually cost more and its hard for someone used to buying a seed pack and picking a mother to clone from to shell out 10 bucks a seed that you cant clone ... i just figured if i can get a fat oz or more for a square foot roughly of grow space and 10 bucks i was still winning in the end .... im shut down at the moment but i feel a order coming on soon and definitely a seed run i miss the warm glow and sitting with my plants when i cant sleep and the house is so quiet you could hear a fly fart something therapeutic about it just spending time with your plants :) i wish you luck on the mephisto's .... those are next for me as well but i gotta get another GC mother so i can stop paying so much for the only thing that really helps

I'm in socal too, the humidity and that flower, don't get the flower wet. (bud rot)

to me it looks like you got some time on it.

it might have some other issues, it might be a race against time; to finnish flower before complications overtake it.

but what do i know....

I have the same issue here with some auto's when they finish in August due to high heat and super high humidity. Then in September and October it happens again with the photo's when it's wet and cool. Outdoor grows while being great do have challenges lol.

I'm hoping when I find an auto keeper I can self it to get some seeds :).

Why is it to some of you long time growers so hard to realuse that some people jusz wanna smoke good weed? That they dont wanna finance criminal
organisations, deal with shady people and risk of beeing jailed??? People dont want to grow bunch of plants,to search the phenos. and all that conniseur/breeder shit talk.. That's when autos come in.... AND THAT is the main reason this hobby got so much popular.. you buy lights, put them 20/4 schedule, put some beans in the soil and after 13week you have smoke... No hermies, no males no b.shit..
