11/13 instead of 12/12 flowering time

Instead of increasing light intensity, gradually decrease the grow room temperatures by a few degrees in the final couple of weeks.
I can do that. Don't have much control over temp with lights off but can keep the humidity down with a exhaust running. But it also brings down the lights off temps to 65-80F depending on time of year. I currently run with lights on at 84-85F and can easily lower that.

This grow will be done near the end of Nov so it's going to see some cold lights off temps and high CO2. And the next one will be in the dead of winter so it's the coldest at lights off. Ha I run the 12/12 from Midnight to Noon in the summer for less strain on the AC and in the winter to add heat.

Next flower run too will have a different light set up. Eliminating a 150wHPS, 2 60ww LED arrays and 2 smaller FS 50wwCobs. Not sure yet as the replacements will be two 100ww LED arrays. Room is 2x8 closet in an unconditioned bedroom. It could use better sealing doors.

I just got a three station weather monitor this year that I can see the temp and humidity on a pretty color display 24/7. And it keeps track of the daily highs and lows. So I will have a much better understanding of the temps in that flower room.

I’ve always been 12/12 for my flowering, except for one tent. I‘m growing a Malawi and Lennon plants with a 12+ week flowering time. So I started on 12/12, 2 weeks later I went to 11/13 and I’ve been debating moving to 10/14 schedule starting next week. My 12/12 tent looks further ahead then my 11/13 tent, but that could be the landrace genetics

I've been subtracting 1 or 2 minutes at both on and off times. Usually start with 13.5 hrs and try to mimic the natural gradual shortening of the days, sunrise and sunset.

Do you think increasing light intensity towards the end is asking for hermis?
I run perpetual and go a little easier on light at the “new arrival” end of the tent, as they begin to make buds I put a bigger COB fixture in place of a less powerful one. They can only use so much light just out of veg.

I do 20/4 on veg but in the tent they grow faster than the 10 week flowering time so they get out of snyc, 2nd tent grow. I have one that I fimmed and it is getting taller already at 4 weeks. But has a definite better branching going on vs the pinching top. Probably should go down to 18/6.

Prior to flower mine are at 18/6 right now but I go up to 20 hrs on and as low as 16. 99% are topped at 2 1/2 weeks. The relationship between light hours and size in veg does not seem linear or 1/1.
