Yea you may be right...Im just guessing though. I got em cheap from the $2 shop...was pretty chuffed. All I know is I was planning on finishing in 14 ltr pots also, and had just enough canna tera pro for those pots. I ended up getting the bigger ones and I ran out of soil with two pots to go...so I COULD do the math and figure it out, but I just had some edibles and thats not too high on my agenda right now haha. TBH, they seemed MASSIVE when I first got them, but now the plants have grown and they dont seem big enough.

So here's what Im tentatively thinking for next grow. It'll probably change up a lil by the time im ready to go, but thinking that this is a fair start.

Alphakronik - Alpha Dawg (reg)
Humboldt Seed Org - Bubba Kush (reg) x 2
Seedsman - African Buzz (reg) x 2

TH Seeds - Sage n Sour (fem)
TH Seeds - DarkStar (fem)

Kushberry (clone)
Spicy White Devil (clone)
Tutankhamon (clone)

So that's 10 plants to start with. 5 definite females, 5 regulars...hopefully 2-3 of the regs will end up male leaving me with 7-8 fems to fill the tent with.

how long you thinking for the veg of next crop? And remind me again, how long ha(d)(s) the current ones been veg?

I did part SOG this cycle, I don't like the SOG though, to many plants to feel safe. Thinking I am gonna adopt something more along your lines, maybe a dozen plants in my 5x5 tent.

Ey mate,

Assuming 8 females, Im thinking of vegging for bout 5 weeks next grow. This time around I vegged for about 6 and a half to 7 weeks, which allowed the 7 plants to completely fill the footprint. Thinking with slightly more plants next time, so slightly less veg.

And yea that's why I don't so strict SOG. I have plant numbers that I need to stay under and SOG just wouldn't allow that. If I got busted doing SOG, it would automatically be more serious due only to plant numbers. I would probably go full SOG if I wasn't restricted at all. But there are benefits...nothing like a big 7 week vegged plant.

Yea I feel ya. 5 years min out here if you go over 99 plants. Yea bigger plants are usually much healthier then clones with much smaller root systems. How many times do you like to top?

Well Im trying to stay under the 10 plant limit...half the time I'll be fine, but the other half of the time I'll have vegging plants or clones that will put me over the limit. So as it currently stands for me, if I get busted I for a 50/50 chance of automatically getting done for trafficking. Not ideal. I really should be flowering 4 large plants at a time so even when I have veggers and or clones, I'll be under that 10 plant limit.

And I usually top only once, never more...and I don't really like doing that tbh, but it just makes it easier to LST the plant and keep the tops even. I don't like to stress the plants too much. Just a personal thing. I prefer to tie the bitches down like nobodys business (which in all fairness is probably just as stressful...but like I said, tis just personal preference).

Nah, cutting is considerably more stressfull then tying them down. that the whole reason its called L(ow) S(tress)T(raining). I used to LST alot on my outdoor plants, I really should get into the habit on the indoors. Yea 10 plants isn't a lot to work with. But i suppose its better then it being fully illegal right? You pretty much have to do large plants that way, and not keep mothers.

I am sure I have asked this at least 3 times, sorry if I have. Joys of smoking entirely to much weed lol. Whose the breeder on your blue cheese and how does she taste? How do you like it?

So the time is fast approaching that I'll need to start thinking about my next grow. I've decided not to buy any more seeds for a while and try a little seed making of my own. So below is my list of seeds. Most of them are in small numbers (1, 2 or 3 seeds) as a whole bunch of them are freebies from Herbies and the Tude.

Regular Seeds:
Pineapple Kush - HSO
White Widow x Skunk #1 - Seedsman
Alpha Dawg - Alphakronik
Bubba Kush - HSO
Mighty Grape - Freedom of Seeds
Ken's Kush - Granddaddy Purple
Blue Bubba - Hazeman
Sativa House Mix - Delta9 Labs
Bubba Love - Alphakronik Genes
Brains Choice - KC Brains
Mango - KC Brains
Ata Tundra - Seedsman
Papaya - Nirvana
African Buzz - Seedsman
Pakistan Valley Landrace - World of Seeds
Double Gum - White Label Seed Company
Black Widow - Mr Nice
OG Grape Krypt - DNA Genetics #

Feminised Seeds:
The Doctor - Green House #
Big Bang - Green House #
BubbleGummer - Female #
Lemon Kush - Female
White Widow x Big Bud - Female #
Pineapple Chunk - Barneys Farm
Vanilla Kush - Barneys Farm
Critical Kush - Barneys Farm
Fruitylicious - Mandala
Caramalla - Homegrown Fantaseeds
Grape Gum - Ripper Seeds
Acorn aka Snowbud - TH Seeds
Sage & Sour - TH Seeds
Darkstar - TH Seeds
Green Love Potion - SamSara #
Spicy White Devil - SamSara #
Cotton Candy - Delicious
Critical Sensi Star - Delicious #
Critical Jack Herer - Delicious
Afghan Kush - World of Seeds
Mazar x White Rhino - World of Seeds
Skunk #1 - Royal Queen
Freedom Haze - Freedom of Seeds
Green Crack - HSO
Trainwreck - HSO
Desert Diesel - HSO

# = previously grown

So there is quite a selection there. I want to run 8 seeds in total, and 2 clones (hopefully - Kushberry and Spicy White Devil) to end up with 7-8 flowering and seeded females. Of the 8 seeds, I want 6 to be regular seeds (3 strains - 2 seeds each) in the hopes of getting 2 different males at least. As is illustrated above, I haven't grown out many from the list before so I don't really know where to start. That being said, there's a few strains in there that Im not really interested in at all for various reasons, but mostly because they're shit. Lol. Id like to know your thoughts, if any...

So, what regular seeds do you think I should use to try and get a male? Or more broadly, if you had this selection of seeds, what plants would you be crossing?
Realized I hadn't answered this. personally, the ww x skunk #1 would be a good choice for a male. Or the GDP, black widow, or the og grape. OGs are pretty common to breed with, as are the widows for good reason.

Out of the seedlist you wrote, the ones that call my name are
trainwreck
Green Crack
skunk #1
Green love potion

Haha to your credit mate, I don't actually think you've asked that one before...

But the breeder for the Blue Cheese is Barneys Farm. Can't comment on it any more as this is the first time I've grow it. But im entirely unimpressed thus far. But I can't judge it too harshly on just one seed so I dunno.

yea i have a barneys blue cheese going to. I would really love to get a great phenotype but everyone that i ask says they arent impressed with the blue cheese from Bf. I know there is some cuts of blue cheese that taste like blueberry muffins or pancakes, but i cant seem to get my hands on it. I been looking for at least 2 years :(

Yea I've heard about that pheno...sounds pretty good, if you can find it. I won't be finding it though...this will be my one and only BC. Hope you find it though. About how many plants do you estimate you've grown out in your search?

Oh and also, how do you find the stretch with the BC generally? Mine has barely stretched at all...

I grew out 10 seeds purchased from a dispensary, as well as trying 3 clones off CL. The ones on CL I think were people just taking advantage as I had posted an add saying I was looking from Blue Cheese clones, as they all were completely different smelling growing and not fully indica. There was some great phenotypes, but I never found one that was really what I wanted. Its super easy to get a good cheese phenotype though lol. True blue cheese is fully indica so shouldn't stretch much at all. None of my seeds stretched much, but they were also outdoor so that could be part of it to.

More pics. I threw in a book in each picture so you can get an idea of the scale. Its just a standard sized paperback book.

Looking great man! Nice and green and lush. Your thread is one of my favorites to check out because you have so many of the strains I both have/had/want and we are in the same setups. And its clear you know what your doing in the sense of how to grow nice plants. You remind me I guess that I aint the only one out there whose just an average guy growing the plant they love. Just wanted to give ya an "atta boy" so to speak. Keep up the great work man,

papa
