No thats not a good light it's proably only like 150 watts. And its a 150 inefficient watts at that. Check out the cob threads expect to pay about 1 dollar a watt for a good led and thats if you make it yourself.

Sounds like it's putting out 1000 watts to me... They may be using material that isn't tops in the field, but it doesn't cost over a grand for just one either...

That's a good price for 1000 watts. I have to question if it is any good though. Most of the good LED lights you buy are a lot more money. Some of the main players I see sell 200 watt lights around $600 or more. I would be sceptical.

But dude. He can get an amazon led light that says it's 1000w and just look at the reviews.

I bet it'll grow like....pounds.....maybe even kilos. Should cover 12'x12'

I have a 1500w tungsten "light" I'll sell ya. Some people call it a toaster.

Good old amazon.

It's not 1000w BTW

I understand the saying "You get what you pay for." For the most part that is word. I also understand that's not always the case. I don't expect the lights to kick ass like the ones that are going for the high end prices.

Fifteen years ago the best light I could get my hands on was a mercury vapor light. Total piece of shit that gave out a puny amount of lumens. In the end I got my first grow in and have been hacking away since. I'll never be a master grower, but I will always have my herb...

The light is probably terrible. Of course, it's impossible to prove it, because the ad gives literally no technical information. You'd do better just sticking with your HPS (or much better getting a good LED setup).

Edited to add: there's a reason ads leave out the technical info, and it's not because the lights are high quality tech. . .

If you've been growing for 15 years and you AREN'T a master grower 'yet', I'd say is time to seriously reassess your approaches.

Having run some LED lighting in my time, I can tell you the light you're looking at is straight garbage, pushed by bullshit.

RIU has some of the best minds in horticultural lighting. Maybe you should spend more time researching LED lighting in the appropriate sections here and less time trying to find 'bargains' on Amazon.

COB LED, with drivers by Meanwell and chips made by Cree, Vero, Citizen and a few others are the way to go. As far as the debate goes on lenses vs reflectors, go with lenses.

This advice, applied diligently, is worth many thousands of dollars in better yields, better quality and power savings. No shortcuts.

These mass-produced Chinese panels are known to be very inefficient, so you'd be getting probably 80 watts or so of actual light with this thing.

In reading the forums I have found a lot of complaints about the LED's coming in from China especially the Mars brand. I get it now... Amazon isn't the best place to buy.

I wear my hair in a ponytail. If I buy the material bands for a ponytail at Rite Aid they cost 7 dollars for 10 fucking bands. I buy the same 10 fucking bands at the Dollar Store for a buck. Most of the time you get what you pay for - Not all the time...

My only claim is that I grow good shit. Now I just want to minimize my costs the right way. That's all folks n have a great day!
