1.2Lb Per Auto (DWC)

Been doing this since May of 74. Saw all the early auto's and yawned. The biggest growing auto strain is from Dr. Greenthumb - Iranian Autoflower.

While I did play with this when it first came out. I don't care for auto's - Lower THC content is just the starter....They tend to be small, very small.

To get 1.2 lbs from an auto? Nah, I just can't see it for the quality of the resulting yield...

What's the "claimed" auto heavyweight, Northern Lights auto? Indoor says 450-550gp square meter? Gosh, I'll bet you dimes to dollars they run it SOG to get that. They also claim over 5 ft tall for outdoor runs? The Iranians did over that! Funky looking plant too.

Even if you succeed with those Northern Lights. That's a whole shit ton of work for only 14% concentrations of cannabinoids!

Go Photo's and learn to grow. DO NOT believe the nutrient makers claim either dude! No "boosting" or "flushing".....

I like to suggest you grow an African Violet. If you can get that to bloom. You can then grow cannabis.
You don't treat it like a tomato - You'll do better treating it like a tropical
My autos are never small, 30 to 50 inches almost every time and are also quite potent. One plant usually fills up a 3x3 area with its leaves curling on the sides from lack of space. Just recently finished a gorilla cookies auto that grew 34 inches which ended up with ten ounces dried of some of the most potent smoke. Look up “super autos” for more info. Two that come to mind are think different and auto ultimate.

I got about 2 pages through this journal, and decided I'm done.
You have your head in the clouds, with no experience, you think you know it all.
No offense intended, but I'm not sure any advice will actually make it through to you untill you try your ways and see things aren't so peachy
Good luck

I don't get why ppl grow autos period
Seed to harvest time is short
They have strains that are just as potent as photos
You can walk in your grow room anytime without worrying about light effecting flowering
You can start a new grow right next to a flowering plant. Basically perpetual harvest after harvest
Bug infestations are cut down due to short growth to harvest time.

They have a shorter harvest time only because you veg photos longer, you can finish a photo just as fast.
They will always be lower THC than their photo counter parts of the same strain.
Bug infestations are just as likely, they are still the same plants with an altered gene, bugs don`t care if it`s an auto or photo, I am pretty sure they can`t tell the difference.
Grow what you like but I can`t agree with your points other than starting more plants beside your flowering ones.

I agree with Doug above. Bugs don’t care, no control of the plants life, you can’t start plants outside of your growing area for veg or get another space setup. Autos IMO of course are watered down genetic lines and are weed with training wheels.

Dutch Passion Auto ultimate, because you know autos have low yields . Unlearn the lies.
High times has a spread sheet of thc content of several strains. Highest auto 27% while photo was 31%. Have to give you that but they are caching up. Back when I started growing it was 7%, they are not far behind now and every year the gap is closing. Soon it will be down to personal preference, I grow both. I love my photos just as much as my autos.

Not sure what you mean by wizard bud lol. However thc is not actually hard to test for nowadays. You can buy the machines or single use test online and there are hundreds of vids on YT of people doing just that. One guy even test his herb while it’s growing.

Please link me to a reliable test kit under $1000

I was shopping them yesterday 13,500 for an actual quick potency test kit. Lab grade
The jars of fluids max at 20% so everything i grow would just say 20+ thin layer chromotography is work and still stupid money and many components and processes to actually test the bud
and a simple light scanner that does it all is 13,500. Comes in orange police box. Seriously ive been trying to test potency a long time. Labs here will not do it unless licensed cultivator or dispensary or police. And diy at home kits are ridiculous in price. Why cause the legal ppl (who already have millions invested in these companies) dont want closet bud proving they are pure shit at what theyre doing. And charging top dollar for.

Good on you for putting in the effort to research and study before you start growing. If you are the kind of person who goes to these lengths then you will probably make an excellent grower one day and the knowledge you pick up from the research will probably fast track you there.

But don't expect it to happen overnight. You are going to have issues come up that are not prepared for. It's like expecting to be able to win F1 just because you read the book on how to do it.

Another thing to consider is that these I.2 pound auto grows you think are so easy have a lot to do with the genetics of the seed. All autos are from seed and seeds have genetic variance. You might get a pack of 8 seeds. If you are lucky one of those might be a monster auto and the other 7 given the best conditions might only be genetically capable of making out at 8 ounces. That's just how it is.

Planning to run CO2 on your first grow is a mistake, master temp and humidity first then maybe think about CO2

Listen to what the guys on here are saying. They know more about growing cannabis than your studies have taught you and when you run into issues most of them will try their best to help you.

Autos are good I only grow autos. The new breeds of auto can produce high quality smoke and more of it in less time. An auto has 18 hours of light a day during for its whole life that's 6 hours more every day in flower when it do it's thing. And if you ever have a power board trip or a timer clap out your grow wont hermie.

As a new grower you are going to have to spend a lot more time in your tent because you will be figuring out shit, fixing and tweaking stuff. Running DWC is going to require even more time spent in the tent on top of that. Coco can give you awesome results and takes considerably less maintenance to manage.

Good luck mate. Make sure you post a diary

Looked at old teetees grows there I wouldn't take advice from this guy his plants look like ass. Also never did see if it his ending weight was dried or hanging. Hard too see a good bit of weight from those spindly ass plants he grew. I also simply hate autos.
Why would you say these look like ass? I would be thrilled to get these results!! The one with the beer can has ridiculous size buds!!! Another way to look at it: you can get by with a less expensive light(s) if you can run them 18+hrs instead of 12.
