@rayuki you should do something like mine... cost $16 at bunnings for 3m 25x12 angle ;) plus a hacksaw blade, drill and a few rivets :D

So my veg light is being upgraded to get better coverage in my veg tent (80x80x160cm) ... Making up this 60cm x 60cm frame to have another 4 strips... So thats 8 strips total @700ma for my veg tent :D @graying.geek how did you measure out your spread? im useless at maths lol I want to set them...

cool :) now... just gotta decide on drivers.... and... if i get the 560mm strips, they will run at about 22v right...? will i still get close to 50w/sqft running less voltage than the big strips? (basically i want 2, 2x3 fixtures with 10-12 strips each so it can be broken into 2 for transport)

orrrr am i totally loosing it and should be going with 6 cobs? my goal is to run a low heat fixture in the end.... would 6 cobs put off more heat than 10-12 of these babies?

Im still not settled on the drivers yet and really only want to pull around 400w max, so might settle for some 240's or even 185's.... Maybe thinking of using 2 x CV drivers even (2 x HLG-240H-24B), as im not electrician and want to keep things a bit safer for myself. Or would I be better off...

I've got my beast over seedlings. About 30cm away to start with, after 10 days since germination im at about 20cm with no i'll effects ;) Pulled the Lux meter out and am keeping them at around 30,000 lux.... there was a couple of hours where I had it at 40,000 lux and one of the seedlings got...

Its all good, ive grown in coco or terra many times before, I was just trying to stretch out what I had without buying a new bag of medium. I can add cal-mag if needed and im using nutrients that are either suitable for coco or soil, jusy gotta change the ph is all... So yas reckon I might have...

How hot will this one driver get? will it noticeably heat the cabinet up being inside?

Hold up... The strips are only 22.1V @700ma.... so at 833mA wold make it around 22.3V. But the driver is 24-48V.... Wont that overdrive the strips? EDIT: Im a nob head lol I see now on the EB Spec sheet the maximum Voltage @ 700ma is 24.8V... :D thanks brain :hump:

confused myself again actually lol so its going to be 2 x 6 strip fixtures to start... that make 12 strips to run off the HLG 185H 48A... 12 divide by 5000ma is 416ma... But, if I wire the 2 x 6 strip fixtures in series, that doubles my Voltage... But does it double the amperage and make it...
