The Importance of Flushing -- too often overlooked

In my opinion I would not consider myself a professional by any means. From my experience, if you are growing in soil then instead of flushing the last couple weeks with excessive h2o, just feed it water and let the plant use up what it needs. In nature all of the microbial activity is below the...

Definetely thinking about buying one of the 600 watt apollo horticulture on ebay. at 135 shipped you cant beat it. Somebody please guide me as to what I should do with these monsters!!!!!!

The pics of the two that are flowering is Auto Trans Siberian. So far has a diesely smell and will hopefully pack on some weight under the 400 watt hps that its under. The colas look as seem very full but the denseness hasn't quite happened yet. I have noticed that they are not super dense nugs...

Leaves folding inward and tips are yellow...cont

Here are a few pics of my little girl. It seems as if the leaves are folding inward (hotdog style). I am using rain water (don't know ph) and 6 cfl's 6500k and 2700k 2:1 ratio. The soil is sta-green all purpose potting mix with fertilizer (plan to buy new soil and transplant soon). Let me know...

Newbie indoor grow--leaves rolling inward and tips yellow?? HELP!!!!

The temp was getting a little hot inside the box (around 89 degrees) so I am now keeping one of the doors open until I can manage to install a fan to pull the hot air from the cabinet. Not really sure what the humidity is for this grow??? The sprout is only about a week old. I will try to mist...

Newbie indoor grow--leaves rolling inward and tips yellow?? HELP!!!!

Hello everyone. So as the title says I have a bagseed of an unknown strain which I had decided to put in a pot and try to grow. It is using a soil which is a decent potting soil that I found at walmart and am watering with rainwater which I have collected. It is inside of a stealth cabinet that...

My first grow cabinet using cfl lights and antique freezer

Late last night i decided to do a little work on my box and found that the extension cord that was hanging out the front would in fact fit through the hole in the bottom with a little bit of triming of the plug. It looks like a very clean cabinet now and is completely light tight. I plan to get...

Switching to LED made all the difference.

So the LED lights that you changed to made your grow much larger yielding and larger more dense nugs?? How was the light bill as opposed to regular CFL's. Check out my stealthy grow ice box that I have going on right now

My first grow cabinet using cfl lights and antique freezer

That sounds great to me. I was thinking of growing my biggest in the right chamber and growing smaller and/or germinating the seeds in the other lower small left side while keeping tools, extension cords, supplies in the upper left chamber. I have a few autoflowering plants on the way so they...

What would be a good set of nutrients to pick up and soil or hydro???

Not exactly sure where to buy the fox farm soil in stores around my area, and don't want to pay top dollar from a hydroponic store. The General Organics GO box starter kit looks like a winner in my book. For $40 you really can't go wrong. I will have to order this soon before the rest of my...

My first grow cabinet using cfl lights and antique freezer

Lol. Thanks I appreciate it. The fan is at the bottom blowing on high speed upward towards the wall which bounces around and makes a lightly breezy atmosphere for the plant. Not too windy, just right. As the day goes on, I can definetely see that the plant is moving as far a growing speed goes...

My first grow cabinet using cfl lights and antique freezer

For the time being, I bought a cheap honeywell turbo fan that blows air quite nice inside this little setup. In order to keep the cost of the project down, I am trying to make everything fairly simple. There is a drain pipe in the bottom that is about 1" diameter but too small to allow the...

My first grow cabinet using cfl lights and antique freezer

That is a pretty good idea. I didn't really think about taking the door off and putting an exhaust fan. I suppose I could definitely find a fan of similar size to keep the changing of the cabinet to a minimum. The mix of soil sounds to be a great idea and since I have 12 seeds coming in the mail...
