i run ro water with a bit of clonex and clear rez. dip my cuttings in jell. water temp is around 75-77 under my t-5s. ph is around5.7. don't even run the air pump anymore.

i go straight from my ez cloner to the hyrdoton, no problems. the first run i did go from cloner to rockwool to hydroton. i prefer the rockwool cube for the support. let my clones hit about 6-7 inches tall, trim the bottoms up and bury in hydroton. either way no problems yet

i just wait till i get a decent root mass, then throw them into my 2-3 inch rockwool cubes and fill the rest of the hole with the rockwool crutons. seemed to work great

I started with a 4x4 sun hut with a 600 watts light and ducted sealed hood. ran a 6 inch duct fan and carbon filter. did'n have a problem with heat but it was in the middle of my basement. I don't see a reason that hood wouldn't work for you. Was very happy with my hut so i bought a 4x8 too. run...
