There is no way of telling weather the plants are male un till they start going into their flowering period (where you either see balls for males or little hairs for females). The big fan leaves probably indicate that the plants are more indica than sativa. And the 3ft veg 6 ft flower completely...

having a fan directly blowing on your buds will make them dry faster, which will in turn make the smoke harsher. I have had no problems drying my crop without a fan by simply checking on them every now and then, but if your worried have a fan on low, and try not to point them at the lovely crop :D

I have found there are differing opinions on this. Some people whack it straight under a light as soon as they put it in the cube, as this is what would happen outside anyway. But some people like to wait till the seed sprouts and you can still the small plant coming out of the top of the cube...
