    4 x 8 x8 grow box ventilation

I will do a little pondering with all of these considerations in mind and get back to you within the next day or two. You're going to need roughly 16-18 amps of capacity, which is a concern of mine since it is unlikely you have a free 30 amp breaker wired in the panel. Do you have the...

    4 x 8 x8 grow box ventilation

Mlitz, thank you for getting back. What exactly is your budget, and what are your goals? Let's look at this from a holistic approach. You can buy a 4x8 tent for $210 on Amazon. Sorry I keep coming up with more questions, but the more I know, the better I can help. Don't worry, we will get...

    4 x 8 x8 grow box ventilation

Problem not solved. Where are you going to vent the exhaust? After all, that is what we are trying to figure out. You should never exhaust a portable A/C with longer than a 5-6 foot hose or the condensing unit will burn out prematurely and create enough condensation to fill a 5 gallon bucket...

    4 x 8 x8 grow box ventilation

LOL thanks AimAim. I usually don't post unless I feel very compelled, which is usually only in the case of a truly unique circumstance where I have experience. Most of the post you see here on RIU could easily be answered by looking through the forum and having a true desire to learn, so I...

    4 x 8 x8 grow box ventilation

Tricky layout! Before I begin to develop a solution, would it be at all possible to re-locate the operation to a spare bedroom? If you are able to, you will end up spending a lot less time "putting out fires". You will be much happier and have a much more positive experience. Keep in mind...

    4 x 8 x8 grow box ventilation

Do not duct your exhaust into your heater, that is not safe. You will prevent carbon monoxide from escaping the pipe from the heater because there won't be enough room in the line for all of the air to escape.Too much air volume. Every duct/pipe has a capacity and the gas heater exhaust isn't...

4 Week old plant. How does it look?

A good wife will always make you feel better about the smaller size ;) Happy Growing and keep up the learning!

    Carbon Filter Help!

The 440CFM fan/filter combo will scrub the air in a 7x8x8 (approx.) room about once a minute. On the conservative side you want to have the capacity to scrub the air at least a couple (and ideally a few) times a minute to prevent odor seeping into the rest of your house, and keep in mind as...

can you be heat detected by Ir

(To U.S. readers, mostly the newbies to growing that run across this)--- I don't mean to offend anyone here, but has everyone forgotten that grow lamps, fans, etc are not illegal? No one should be as scared as most of you are in your own home, that is, unless you have broken the rules of...

    A/C Unit Mod

You're right Beansfranklin, I cannot find anything about it emitting ozone either. I got the information from an individual much smarter than myself so I made the idiotic mistake of presuming it was true without inquiry. Sorry for the bad info. I could still imagine the air exhausting from the...

    might get BUSTED HELP!

Definitely the most interesting thread I have seen! lol Buddy, if you are in the great state of Texas, it isn't close to worth the risk of getting busted. I might know of a very very similar situation that cost a person two felonies (only 8 plants) and resulted in the house being forfeited...

    Portable AC

I think you should save yourself the money and keep it running the way it is. If you think about it, that is a tropical weather pattern which cannabis thrives. Unless there are other details I am missing, you are fine.

Need to grow without landlord knowing

That sucks man, but unless you wanted to do a small one plant auto grow in a pc case or something, it is ill advised.lol. Hope you figure something out that gets you up and running again. Take care! Oh and btw for the future, take all of your trimmings and keep them in an ice chest in your...

    AC venting?

I wasn't trying to take a stab at anyone, but I don't like when people pass on bad information that is solely based on speculation. It just seemed to me like you were trying to be condescending, but there was a miscommunication I suppose. For that I apologize. Anyways, you are right, carbon...

    A/C Unit Mod

Well, I seriously don't recommend breathing ozone. It is undoubtedly bad for you. Whoever would say it is not bad for you to breathe in large amounts of ozone is a (excuse me) fucking idiot. Those a/c units don't vent outside for no reason my friend. However, if you feel like it is worth the...

    A/C Unit Mod

Careful when doing that..The exhaust from that a/c unit can make you pretty ill from breathing it in. I believe it is what they call ozone? lol So take care of that too on the back end...The front end hose should work fine though, just make it as short as possible. Hope that helps. Happy growing!

    AC venting?

Taping carbon on the outside of the intake will not do anything but restrict air flow to the unit (where the important air actually comes from). The exhaust of the unit is the heat off of the compressor, and has very little scent coming out of it. I said "air filter", not carbon scrubber. An air...

Need to grow without landlord knowing

NEVER grow where someone knows you are growing. This is especially the case when the land lord is obviously not cool with it. Even if you put together a stealth grow; I wouldn't advise it. He can lose his property if you are caught growing. Look up civil forfeiture laws.. Keep it cool until...

    AC venting?

Portable a/c or window unit? I gave some advice awhile back on this topic pertaining to a portable unit..I will post it here below: I have a single hose unit that I run into my attic, and here is how I covered my bases: 1) Have an oversized cfm fan/carbon filter inside the flower room. My...

    Check out my new room...

Yeah I have probably spent about the same, because I have a 400w too that I use separately for veg, but I am going to add a 600 :) I top my plants, and some sit on cinder blocks and other things to accommodate height differences. Seems like we are setup about the same with some minor...
