Thanks for all the info on PPFD/PAR/DLI etc. Anyone know a good brand of light meter that may help me out when dimming COBs, etc? Should I be looking for a good PAR meter? LUX meter? Obviously something affordable would be nice, but I'm unsure of what "type" of light meter I should be looking...

Haven't heard of quantum boards, but you don't think I could make a panel (maybe roughly 12" x 12") that is 3-4" thick? Those low profile heatsinks on heatsinkUSA are less than an inch and a half high, how thick would the other components be? I'm interested in reading more about quantum boards...

Perfect. Checking their heatsinks out now.. definitely low profile, and since whole assembly this will be much shorter, I think, than my current bulb setup I can hang it lower.. the airflow across the top is good.. I've got my vents on the left and right sides of the "ceiling" with PC fans...

Thanks for the suggestion! Would the top of the heatsink be hot to the touch? The bulbs I use have little "heat fins" on them and they do get pretty warm/hot and I haven't had any issues (but the bulbs themselves are an inch or two away from touching the top)... just as long as it isn't "melt...

Interesting.. do you think 4x 3500k lights would be better than a mix of 3000k and 3500k? Despite the not "full overlap" of spectrums? I definitely wanna keep stretch down, but I think spectrum is more important to me than stretch.. I'm pretty good at keeping my girls pretty short with scrog/LST...

Hey guys, so I've pretty much got down that I think I want Cree CXB3590's. For a FLOWER ONLY chamber, but the only thing I can't decide between is 3000k and 3500k.. I will have 4 50w COBs, Would 2 of each work better? Only thing about that is the coverage might be a little wonky on the sides...
