Portable air conditioner .vs. Aqua chillers

Water chillers wont do that. But you will have to have some sort of exhaust system for the hot air to escape through.

Reef Playground does have the best prices on Aqua Euro USA Chillers and pumps. :D We try to keep them as low as possible All you would need to hook it up would be a small pump that runs anywhere from 40-160gph Slower waterflow will make the unit work more efficiently. Also, jsut a note guys...

RO water PH above 8.0 WTF?

that is a bit off. a 1:10 ratio is a bit high. some older membranes run at those, but most new models operate somewhere in the 1:3 to 1:5 range. But what i suspect you have is inadequate water pressure going into the unit. Its causing your unit to waste more water. Do you have a pressure gauge...

RO water PH above 8.0 WTF?

hot water does have high levels of tds. Mainly because its heated in a large metal drum called a water heater. The lining deteriorates over time, and causes higher tds elvels. In additional, a standard 75gpd/100gpd ro membrane maxes out at around 110F / 115F. Industrial membranes max out around...

RO water PH above 8.0 WTF?

they do effect the ph. as they remove the minerals that raise the ph levels. if the tds reading is under 10, the ph levels should be at 7.0 have you tested the TDS readings in the filtered water? what kind of test kit / meter are you using to test the ph? and how old is it? did you install...

    Will This Chiller Do?

yeh, the cl-85 wont work for your application. since its an electrical based chiller unit, its not as effective, especially for hydroponic applications. the next size is the 1/13th hp unit. We've sold several for hydroponic applications, so far, no complaints.

    Will This Chiller Do?

which model are you looking at? the AE-USA CL-85 or the AE-USA 1/13th HP? The CL-85 will not work well for hydroponic systems. Its really designed to keep a reef tank bellow 80F. If you're looking to get int the mid to low 70's. The 1/13th HP is what you want to get. It will cool a 30g system...

how do i cool my water ??????

Well, I'm familiar with root rot on aquatic plants. If you have a 40g system, with a temp above 90F and need to lower it by 10-20 degrees you would need a 1/10th hp chiller, Aqua Euro USA 1/10th HP unit runs $329.99. You might get away with the 1/13th HP model, which is rated to cool a 30g...

DIY= Do It Yourself Water Chiller that Works!

That particular unit will not work too well on hydroponic systems. It's electrical based, and is really designed to keep a system of no larger than 12g in the 77-79 temp range. For keeping the temp bellow that on 10-15g systems, you would need to get a refrigerant based chiller, the smallest...
