    Brother Mendel's Selections

I took a chance and bought some medicinal strains from this guy. My initial impression is not so good because I cannot get any grower information about the strains, no Indica/Sativa ratio, flower times, etc....no communication at all. I wanted to grow these strains outdoors but don't want to...

    New Grow - New Genetics

1/17/22 Update Not much happening since last update but I did get all young ladies transplanted into 3 gallon fabric pots yesterday (trying the 3 gal this time). I let them get used to the new pots and they looked great this morning so I had some extra time and so I did my most extensive LST...

    New Grow - New Genetics

I know it's silly but I'm pretty psyched at how fast this gal recovered from my first LST session. 5 hours later and she is already looking up!

    New Grow - New Genetics

Update 1-1-22 Cruising along here, day 31 since sprout. I brought a humidifier into the bathroom to get the humidity up since it's real low due to the winter time furnace operation. That's good for the tent where the gals are finishing flowering, but I want more humidity for the seedlings...

    New Grow - New Genetics

Seedling Update, 12/19/21 Cruising along with the Ethos Purple Zkittles and Crescendo RBx seedlings. It's been 16 days since all 4 seeds sprouted and today I transplanted them into the 3/4 gal pots as they were starting to show roots on the bottom of the 2" peat pots. They seem to be moving...

Don't use Stonington Blend for seedlings.

I had the same problem with my first grow using Stonington Blend by CoM. Great soil, just too hot for seedlings.

    New Grow - New Genetics

Seedling Update- Today marks the 2 week point where I put the 4 seeds in soil. 3 days later they had all sprouted and today would make the 11th day since sprout. The seedlings are doing well, coming up slowly on the upside, and working on the new root system below the surface. I have not seen...

Really need some help ID'ing this problem

In my experience with Coast of Maine Stonington Blend is that it is too hot for seedlings. I had this problem my first grow, and now start seeds in some used soil that has been depleted. I start out in 2" peat pots and then transplant into 1/2 gal pots with Stonington Blend on the bottom 1/3...

Mid-Late Flower Deficiency or Nute Burn?

OK, so I decided to do a flush, about 3x the pot size but if I need to do more, 5 gal pots not all the way full so 12 gallons on the perfect flush. I probably did 9 or 10. I tested the runoff and at the end of my flush, the ph is sitting at 6.2 and around 2000 ppm. I may need to flush more but...

Mid-Late Flower Deficiency or Nute Burn?

Yes, and I am also using Terp Tea Bloom Booster. Both have calcium and magnesium. I guess it was about week 4 flower I gave them all a good heavy feeding of 1/2 cup each fish bone meal along with the maximum recommended of the Terp Tea Bloom and Bloom Booster, and I added about a half serving...

Mid-Late Flower Deficiency or Nute Burn?

I am actually using a homemade calcium solution that I make from eggshells, used this on my first grow too, worked great. For magnesium, I am just using regular epsom salt from a bag.

Mid-Late Flower Deficiency or Nute Burn?

We are on a well and the ppm out of the tap is ~685 so I have to use an alternate source for water. Yes, my nutrients do have cal/mag but, and I could be wrong here, were designed to be used with water that most likely already has some cal and mag already present. Our well water is off the...

Mid-Late Flower Deficiency or Nute Burn?

I don't think I am overwatering, learned that lesson on my first grow. I had thought that it might be an NPK deficiency because of the yellowing leaves and it's been an ongoing problem after I transplanted these into the 5 gal pots and did not amend the soil that was used in a previous grow...

Mid-Late Flower Deficiency or Nute Burn?

I am thinking my gut feeling about overfeeding was right after seeing some of the responses. I think I will flush her a bit next time I water, which should be tomorrow some time. I wondered if I was overdoing it, I wanted to push her. Gotta find that line before you can avoid crossing it I guess.

Mid-Late Flower Deficiency or Nute Burn?

Thanks Myke and I hear you about the LED's. I have been giving epsom salts so I don't think it's a magnesium def.
