Don't use Stonington Blend for seedlings.

Started my seeds directly in Coast of Maine's Stonington Blend for this grow and it looks like this soil is way too hot for seedlings. This is one of my Sour Apple Fritter at 3 weeks old.

They should grow out of it just fine, but lesson definitely learned. I found out they make a blend specifically designed for seedlings, so next time I will use that and transplant into Stonington.

But I have never done them in solo cups that long. Always use the jiffy seed starter pots and grown for a week and. Then put whole pot in five gln pots after

Black Gold Seedling Mix. However I've stopped using it and just go straight to the Pro Mix HP or Sunshine 4 Advanced. Both inert. No nutes.

Not sure what your saying? If you are using jiffy starters then that wouldn't be the same thing as directly planting into Stonington.

Didnt have my usual seedling soil on hand so I used my big pot soil and gave just it a shot. Again, lesson learned for me. Just wanted to post this in case anyone else was considering trying the same thing.

I have faith they will recover just fine. Other than the fritters, got some different strains running including some Iced Grapefruit x Mango Haze which seems to be the least affected out of them all.20211218_182349.jpg
