    Got advice on FloraDuo A+B?

Interesting advice. I have two zones side by side. Same genetics. Same nutrient blend (Floraduo). One is just A+B & diamond nectar The other has LKB 24 hr feeding in large scale NFT for both zones. Following the GH feed chart. The one with LKB started yellowing in week 4. Plant development...

    What Causes Ph to Drop?

Did you ever figure out what the problem was? Were you ever seeing a plateau in your bud/cola development during this period?

    What Causes Ph to Drop?

I've been having this same issue. Thought it was the algae. Thought it could be a pathogen. Thought it could be root rot. Thought it could be EC too high. I had no pathogens or root rot so those were instantly eliminated as potential causes. I did have pretty bad algae blooms. So I went to...

SNS 209 All Natural Systemic Pest Control, anyone?

I tried it for several weeks in hydro reservoir. Root aphids clearly didnt like it. But it didn’t eradicate them. Too expensive to maintain dosage rates for not wiping them out. Much cheaper to add 1000 ladybugs every week. They knocked back the aphids to where I cant find them anymore...

Hydroponics Questions - Algae, Beneficial Bact, Enzymes, Sterilization, etc

Seems like the chlorine should accomplish that.

Hydroponics Questions - Algae, Beneficial Bact, Enzymes, Sterilization, etc

True. Why not all types of medium will work. Rockwool holds too much water for example. Some other mediums have no problem under constant flow and staying properly aerated.

Hydroponics Questions - Algae, Beneficial Bact, Enzymes, Sterilization, etc

I can see why you’d think so. Because it was the first thing I thoughtve doing long ago. But there are variables that make it impractical. Just gonna have to take my word for it on that. The chlorine seems like the best long term solution. It works in swimming pools despite plenty of light.

Hydroponics Questions - Algae, Beneficial Bact, Enzymes, Sterilization, etc

It’s pretty simple. Moving water is aerated water. Thus how DWC or any easy cloner works. Except you’re not my parent. Your participation is not welcome. Your continued badgering is indeed trolling. Your inability to move on to another discussion is textbook narcissism. I’ve received good...

Hydroponics Questions - Algae, Beneficial Bact, Enzymes, Sterilization, etc

No. Move on. I dont really care for your personal input on my threads. I’ve asked you multiple times to leave. Your advice/trolling is not helpful. Time to “change your methodology”.

Hydroponics Questions - Algae, Beneficial Bact, Enzymes, Sterilization, etc

Yes. Multiple reasons. But as I’ve said, fixing the light leaks is not possible nor practical for my particular setup. For reasons that are not relevant to the discussion. Im looking to eliminate the algae via a product that can be added to the solution. Let’s keep the thread centered around...

Hydroponics Questions - Algae, Beneficial Bact, Enzymes, Sterilization, etc

So far, I have all 3 methods running side x side. Each are “working”. I will increase the chlorine amount as suggested. Very hard to tell after only a few days. Usually takes 2 weeks for algae to start showing on a freshly flipped zone. And for zones with established algae, I think it’s...

They’re not peat. They look like it, but they’re not. Rockwool holds too much water and would indeed be a problem in not letting the roots breath.

    Silica vs Acids vs CalMag

And coming to a forum board can be it’s own mixed bag of advice. But 2 things are very certain... 1. The advice is genuine 2. It’s coming from experienced users That cant always be said for asking mfgs for advice. I cant tell you how often I find vendors that, while they make a great...

    Silica vs Acids vs CalMag

Yeah i hear ya. I avoid the sales reps and speak directly to the techs. They are much more knowledgeable and I dont feel they are trying to sell me anything. I’ve heard them say i could go as high as 4.0 Tho, to their credit, none of them have outright suggested it. But i had to test it...

    Silica vs Acids vs CalMag

My well water is about 0.45 I did many EC tests. Started fresh babies at 0.7, 0.9, 1.2, and even as high as 2.3 They never burned. In fact, the more I gave, the better they looked. At the moment Im running tests on ramping up nutes over a 4week stretch versus going with one constant...

    Silica vs Acids vs CalMag

DN is Humics. But I do agree, I think keeping the system clean of bio film is a priority issue right now. The algae growth is significant. I’ve had multiple consultants & big name growers do site visits. All said the algae was nothing to worry about. Especially since when i harvest and pull...

    Silica vs Acids vs CalMag

Yes. But it’s not like I need the nutes that are in the well water. There is enough calmag in the base to, in theory, keep plants healthy. But it could be too much of a good thing? Thus why I need Diamond Nectar to make those minerals easier to absorb. Yes. But it is a supplement for...
