Strange spots on sugar leaves (6 weeks into flowering white widow)

Bud rot is such a horrible learning curve. The way I learned to deal with it was to commit to pulling the plants early if there is either high humidity I can't do anything about (I have a dehumidifier but sometimes even that doesn't get it low enough), or a plant with necrosis on its leaves...

Remove helmet head or leave it?

I always try and give them a bit of a helping hand if they're struggling. I find a crafting knife and some fine tip tweezers do the job for me. There's a dsitinct knack to it. More a case of helping the casing off the top of the plant rather than cutting or pulling anything. It's a steep...

    Low stress training question

I support what Bukvicak says - the start of stretch is a great time to do some lst, as the plant is most pliable at this stage. Always worth the effort in my opinion.

    What is your favorite strain?

Been very impressed with 'Cropolope' by 'Cream of the Crop seeds'. I'd say that's my favourite sativa right now. It's Chocolope X Haze. I've grown out 12 now, and have found 4 phenos; a proper chocolate thai (9 weeks), a peppery haze (11 weeks), a choco/blackberry haze hybrid (11 weeks), and...

Strange spots on sugar leaves (6 weeks into flowering white widow)

The only time I've seen something similar to that is from feed/water splashing on the leaves. Is it only on the one bud? If it is then I wouldn't worry too much. They look very frosty! Few brown hairs. Should be ready in 3 weeks or so.

    Cannarado genetics

Thanks again, for the good luck message. The one I've got flowering now only had 3 weeks veg, and has not been topped or trained. I needed a quick turnover due to lack of herb currently. I was very surprised how much this one stretched; I put her in at about 10 inches and she's now nearly 4...

    Cannarado genetics

That's great to hear, thanks for sharing. The one I've got flowering certainly has a proper sour/chem smell. She didn't get that much veg time so the yield won't be great, but i'm certain the quality will be high. I have another Twins vegging still that germinated at the same time. I was...

Light stress? Will a need a bit of advice!!

For some reason I find myself thinking of the Specials song - You've done too much, much too young.

Top Shelf Elite Seeds back in Stock @ Original Seeds Store ..

Pictures as promised. First three pictures are the San Francisco Sour Dough - note the complete lack of trichomes. The final picture is of a Cannarado Twins grown in identical conditions and the exact same age from seed - to show what the trichomes should be looking like.

    Cannarado genetics

Getting some strange things happening with a Cannarado 'Twins' I have 32 days into 12/12. I thought she was hermie at first, after seeing what looked like male flowers. I've had success in the past pinching off male flowers when they showed on female plants (with hermie traits not manifesting...

Top Shelf Elite Seeds - San Francisco Sour Dough (dodgy phenotype warning).

And here are the pictures of the 'Twins'. As you can see, it is absolutely covered in trichomes in comparison to the SFSD.

Top Shelf Elite Seeds - San Francisco Sour Dough (dodgy phenotype warning).

I've got a San Francisco Sour Dough (SFSD) from Top Shelf Elite seeds (Genetics: Phanton Cookies x Sour Gelato x Elite Chemdawg ) 25 days into flowering. There isn't any information on the strain anywhere on the internet that I can find so I want to put this out there. I picked up the 5 pack...

Female turning male? Hermie? Or sinsemilla?

I'm far from an expert on this particular area. But my non expert understanding is that pollination doesn't lower thc content, it simply lowers the amount of usable herb you will have because the calyxs are filled with seed and not trichome covered herb. I've now read the other posts, and I'm...

    Problem late in flower

That isn't too worrying for humidity. It's when it gets in the 70s and higher that a problem almost becomes gauranteed. Whenever I have a plant like that I always pull them early these days. All that necrosis in the leaves is an accident waiting to happen. It's very easy for little bits of...

    Slow Growth

My first impression is that light is a long way away. I don't use led's - but my lights are usually inches away for cfl, 16 inches to a foot for a 400w cool tubed HID, 20 inches to 16 inches away for a 600w cool tubed HID.

    Potassium deficiency ???

I was going to say that doesn't look like a deficiency - more likely the opposite. Or possibly over watering.

Is my plant ready for harvest?

She'd be perfectly fine chopped now. I actually prefer the high from a slightly early harvested plant. It's difficult to see how many white pistils are still visible (it looks like there are a few). The perfect harvest point people look for is when all the white pistils have turned brown as...

Day 37 flower what y'all think??

As a first go that is exceptional mate. Well done! Great bit of mainlining/manifolding. I've only started that technique myself in the last couple of years, and your first go looks as good as anything I've achieved. Looks like she has at least another 3 weeks to go (maybe even a little...

    Name deficiency please

Tricky one that. Doesn't look like cal/mag problems I've had. Mine always look like rust on the leaves. Can't ever hurt to give some cal/mag though. The only times I've ever seen something like was from over watering - although it doesn't quite look right for that. Could water have dripped...

    Should i bother with lst?

Short but bushy (and really healthy looking - well done!). They will be pretty big bushes once they've flipped to flowering.
