If they don’t break surface after 2-3 days I dig until I see the seed/root then I’ll lighlty cover it but let light get through.. I’ve had seeds grow downwards a couple times

That works just don’t add a lot..just do a tablespoon or 2 on top soil then water or mix it in with a gallon of water

Your SETUP is the problem.. FFOF needs amendments. Whatever is in it last for 2 weeks or so. You don’t have a calcium ammendment so you shouldn’t be using distilled water unless you’re adding calcium.
