    Calico's dozen-ish

I'll get some pics up soon. Found a couple spots of stem mold and cleaned them up and coated in a sulphur paste. I did lose a branch but it was a lower and smaller one. Even in a dry year, there are issues! I am in the wettest part of oregon though, so I'll make do with what I get. That stem...

    First Time Your Opinion

Looks good, I'd guess slightly rootbound and slightly hungry.

Shaggy's cindys blue cheese and mastodon grow

Oh no! Hopefully you caught it in time and it will heal up. They really can hang by a thread and repair itself. Those branches are just going to get heavier though so give everything good support. Bamboo and twisties.

Need help with ideas for tying up

I wouldn't worry about stakes damaging roots, unless you are going right through the center or putting many stakes in. Cages seem like the easiest method, unless of course you wait too long. I'm guessing you've already stretched. If you have to attach each individual branch then it going to be...

    Soldiers Co Op Outdoor thread

I'd pound some T posts and attach the corners. Those things can act like giant kites. I'm doing a high tunnel next year as well, no electricity so I need to roll up the sides and leave the ends open. High ceiling keeps the wetter air above those thick tops not in them.

    Dr green thumb seeds

That's pretty much my view as well. Dr. Greenthumb seeds could very well be worth the high price. What's $150 for a pack, compared to pounds of bud that actually finish and are great? And like you said, could be something that you can keep indefinitely. I have heard that the stuff that he hasn't...

    How to thicken branches

shaking the plant (by hand or with wind) helps stimulate it to thicken up. Other than that, it's time. You can't get a month old plant to look like a 4 month old other than waiting. Also it's going to finish stretching in the next week or so and then focus on flowers. Proper light and a good...

    Dr green thumb seeds

Just to stir the pot and because it's gotten off topic a little. That Dr. Greenthumb may be a prick. His prices may be high. But so what? Don't choose him. I just wanted to point out how dynamic and complex, growing this plant can be. I'm betting something happened with the environment to...

    Outdoor with limited sunlight...

looking good man! I'd thin it some more, but I'm always saying that. Because it has such thick growth, alot of those smaller shoots down near the crotches of the branches won't make it out to light cause of the bigger ones above. Also the very center of the plant should get some more thinning a...

    My First Outdoor NW

I do use azamax too, that's neem concentrate. Greencure is good for PM and I use that right up until the end if I have to, but really try to nib that in the bud, way before there is bud. Even then if the PM is only on a leaf or 2 and not in the bud, and I'm in the last couple weeks, I'll spray...

    My First Outdoor NW

Neem breaks down pretty quick, although I don't like to spray oil based sprays on the buds either. Nukem is good to switch up, or mighty wash which is basically soap and water.

use warm water with the neem so that it doesn't get chunky. I spray until about mid flower unless there is a serious problem. Also spray an hour before the sun hits them so they can dry out during the day. Those buds will get wet every night with dew and are fine if they can dry back out.

how to grow a TREE outdoors?

Rooted by end of march, greenhouse with light by may, big pot, full sun, good dirt, dedication, and an ability to shape the canopy for maximum exposure and as many good tops are allowed. A little luck, although I believe we make our luck to a large degree. You could have a 5 pound plant. Or not.

Pot size question for outdoor plant

If it hasn't stretched yet, put it in a 5 gallon. I'd get away from the coco though, it holds water a little too well.

    Why Is my plant drooping

bigger pot, more dirt, more roots, bigger plant, more bud

    Indoor to outdoor ?!?!

vegging under the sun will make your plants grow fast and get big, a lot more than a T5. Just saying....Those plants will probably flower right away, the question is whether there are enough weeks of good weather to finish them. Something to think about. It all comes down to those last 2 weeks.

    Big things a gwan

Never really check ph or worry about salt buildup anymore, with regular worm casting tea. I do add a different microbial mix.

    My First Outdoor NW

Don't cut it. Supercrop and tie or bend over but if it has a thick stem and in good light, that's gonna be a nice nug.

    My First Outdoor NW

I use nukem and azamax, although not past halfway into flower. Really the point is to hit them hard now so that they can coast the rest of the way. Now is also a good time to spray BT for caterpillars, maybe even some serenade to get the bacteria in the buds before they grow. Greencure if the PM...

    Open Show and Tell 2015!

Where there's a will there's a way as getaway said. Market is flooded and prices dropping overall, but it's also wide open as far as legal herb businesses too. From seeds to edibles to events. Hustle and re invest in the business, expand. I'm trying something similar and have spent many days at...
