    Making AACTs: Recipe Question??

good tip on the alaskan fish fert, any particular brands or places that are best for the fish hydrolysate? Also, if i were to substitute for peace of mind in both veg and flower, what would i want to replace it with? Preferrably something i could find locally. Brewing AACT is kind of fun and i...

    Making AACTs: Recipe Question??

Got the summer garden ready. It's been tilled with some compost, lime, and trace elements. I have these aerobic tea recipes, they aren't mine, but a friend swears by them. This is what i will be using on the garden this summer and was wondering if anyone had any opinions, changes, or other ideas...

    Soil composition

The soil you choose depends on what you want as far a grow. For example, do you want something that you won't have to add nutrients to or do you want something that has very little nutrients in it and you will have to feed on a regular basis. Drainage is always good but it's something that can...

    magnesium deficiency?

Hey dude, thanks for the comments. Harvest went good back in january, got a couple pounds of some nice smoke. My ph was between 7 and 8 and i was overfeeding a bit. I ended up watering with epsom salts and ph'd water for a couple weeks to clean out the soil. In then end, i think i was having a...

You will know if you are underfeeding them or need to feed them because you will start to see deficiencies. Remember, it's just as bad to over feed as it is to underfeed and it's harder to fix over feeding or nute burn as opposed to a small underfeeding problem. Just keep them green. If they are...

Is this too many plants for a 4x4 area?

I could see it being more practical to trim that much once you have already trimmed it in the first week and you are doing a SOG with shorter plants from the beginning of the grow. But if you hadn't done any trimming yet, would you chop off the whole bottom third of every plant 3 weeks in when...

I've read in some places that you can use it for soil, hydro, or coco. Also seen people use lucas in soil, it's definately more aimed at hydro IMO and i use it for passive hydro (when i use active hydroponics, i use dyna-gro nutes, the foliage pro is amazing) . Lucas formula is also meant to be...

Lighting for just a couple weeks of growth?

i was thinking something like this ... http://www.plantlightinghydroponics.com/sun-blaze-24w-2ft-t5-fluorescent-strip-light-p-2070.html and then if you want, they sell a reflector for it for 10 more dollars...

    Clear trichomes --> ?

actually, 86 my last comment haha. Took a look at your journal, definately not what i was thinking for 7 weeks in. Prob not worth keeping to smoke because it's still all pistils and there isn't as much bud formation as i would have imagined. Your plant should still be ok without the branch, but...

No problem dude, also forgot to mention flushing with molasses is fine. When i use molasses, i will use it up to the last day or two and then use plain water for the last couple waterings. Good luck with your grow!

Lighting for just a couple weeks of growth?

a couple cfl's will do the trick... get 6500k temp if you can. the cfl's work or you can get a 2 foot flourescent tube. just try to get a higher color temperature whatever you do. You won't need much light at all, i use a 25 watt flourescent tube for my seedlings and it does the trick just fine...

Humidity issues - can you help?

I agree, this is one of the better solutions for smaller rooms. If you are home all the time you could also just use a spray bottle to lightly mist the room every few hours or so until the plants get bigger. A humidifier would be overkill for such a small room.

lucas formula works really well.. i use it myself. I can't really find any information on supernatural's bloom terra, but judging by the npk of 11-31-15... it is close to the 1-3-2 npk that is most desired for flowering in soil. I would say as long as it contains all 16 of your essential...

    Advice with Lights Please Help!

I would use the led in the flower room, it would be more useful there than to your clones. Clones don't need much light and the extra light spectrum in the flower is always optimal. There is no such thing as too much light, the target amount of light would be between 50 and 75 watts per square...
