    Darkness before harvest

Honestly it may possibly be folklore, but many people swear by 36-72 hours of darkness prior to harvest. I personally harvest anywhere from 10-24 hours of darkness depending on my schedule. I do like to harvest with at least 8+ hours of darkness, as it really does seem to help the dry time as...

    DIY Flood & Drain

I have ran organics one time in a flood & drain, and didnt really have problems but had slime and funky smelling water, so I had to add H202 to my water occasionally. I have run DynaGro Products religiously for quite sometime and dont have any of the problems or issues, I dont have to keep my...

    Hows my Nutrient lineup

If you have already purcahsed all that, well then use it up. I played with many nute lines and spent lots of money on different nutes... I then came across a grower named "Homebrewer" who is on this forum and his comparisons with a few other nutes lines vs DynaGro products (btw there are Grow...

    2nd grow 1st soil grow

JMI if you started in hydro and got 9zips from 6 plants, dont expect more than that out of soil unless you veg a very long time. I have never gotten great yields out of soil, I have done wonderful numbers in flood & drain and Aero though. I would check the specs on the Juice and compare to soil...

    How to measure wet weight

zat, weighing the wet weight will include entire branches... what I have always done is taken the total weight removed 15%, this took care of majority if not all or more of the branch weight. so if you weighed everythign and had 400g's I would would take off 15% (60g) and say wet weight was...

    First soil grow 1 x 400whps 1 x blue widow

as far as PH is concerned I always aim for 6.5 in soil... also EC will depend on the plant, nutes and at what point you are feeding. It is not always best to jam nutes at a plant but find a happy medium. you may find 1.2EC is more tha sufficient... I guess you will learn with this strain and...

    Switch to hydro to flush

Never transplant from soil to any hydro late in the game... if you start in soil then leave it there... by transplanting to a different growing type you will cause serious stress and honestly will probably end up with mostly hermies. Final Flushing is a very heated subject, many will say its a...

    Herbies vs. Attitude $$$

I would not recommend herbies in any way... I have ordered seeds for many years, have ordered from many companies including herbies and to be honest my worst experience has been from herbies. I recently did an order with them about 2 months ago, was wanting to try a new auto strain "Think...

Dyna-Gro vs Advanced Nutrients Connoisseur (AK47 Grow)

flood & drain, very similar system to what HB runs, concrete mixing tub on rubbermade container.... I use carbon filtered water, I have a full fledge RO unit, but only run my water for growing through my pre-filter & 50lb carbon filter.

Dyna-Gro vs Advanced Nutrients Connoisseur (AK47 Grow)

There is a very very easy fix for anyone who thinks DG nutes leave a bad taste... Though I never had anyone complain about taste, i ran a single system as normal, last 3 days I ran straight PHd water with no nutes and was actually told by a cannibus cup winner that it was some of the tastiest he...

Harvest a Pound Every Three Weeks!

Aero is a great growing method... stinks system does work, I actually followed his old method and did quite well. I got my sprayers from this guy on ebay... I know he sells 25 pieces also, so check his other auctions... Local hydro stores wanted to charge 75 cents a piece...

    DIY Flood & Drain

I just recently built some PVC rails to place around the flood & drain table, these are to hold up the plants as they go... It is all fitted together and can slid right up to the table, covering 3 sides, as 1 side of the table is always close enough to a wall for support. The unit stands by...

    Best Watering Method ?

Really by letting your soil get bone dry you are stressing out the plant, you want a perfect mix of Oxygen & water.... Thus allowing the top 1 inch to dry in a plant is plenty before watering again. Then when you water/feed your plant you want to see some run off. I am not abig believer in...

Ideal temps or Keeping the lights as close as possible?

Ryan is right on.... Most MJ plants like warm humid weather... so having that plant at 80-90F will not hurt that plant one bit, keep them properly watered and all will be good. I have read journals of people running in 100F+ temps using CO2.
