First soil grow 1 x 400whps 1 x blue widow

hey peeps this is my first soil grow i have chosen plagron royal mix for my soil and ionic soil nutes grow,bloom & boost. I have 1 dinafem blue widow fem in a 40ltr pot under a 400w hps in a 1m square by 2m tall tent with a 6" fan filter and a 5" cold air intake with 2 large desk fans inside. i have done grows in nft and coco so thought i'd ry the soil. Just want a bit advice about using soil ie best ph and ec have herd 6.2 ph and 1.5ec is best but not sure and do i feed feed water same as coco? or is it different?

as far as PH is concerned I always aim for 6.5 in soil... also EC will depend on the plant, nutes and at what point you are feeding. It is not always best to jam nutes at a plant but find a happy medium. you may find 1.2EC is more tha sufficient... I guess you will learn with this strain and build from there.

feed schedule in soil... I also do feed-feed-water and continue with that.

as far as lighting goes... i would try to get a MH bulb or some T5's for your veg state, you can do HPS but its relaly not the right color temp for veg and may make the plant stretch much more than it should.
