Are you sure you didn't pick up a kit on clearance? That pic is indeed a 288 kit but yours is a 304. Says so right on the board.

I haven't used the 120s or 132s but they do sound appealing due to no needed heatsinks and ability to spread the light better. For simplicity I buy the DIY kits but if I was into building and I had the cash and I had to buy new lights I'd do a ceiling made of 132s lol I currently use the Nichia...

If you aren't inclined to build something with 6 or 8 boards or whatever the number, just pick up 2*260XL kits or even 2*320XL.

If you are going to run 288s low enough to not need a heatsink, just go with 120s or 132s. Otherwise you need sinks.

The 288s are great, I use them. Like above poster says, different options for spread, heat mgmt, budget, ppfd goals, etc.

4*qb288 at minimum. If money is not so much an issue and you want some more efficiency and spread you could do 6*qb132 or even a 9*qb120 grid. Lots of options!

I use integras but most of the time they're just annoying. If you dry correctly you shouldn't need those unless you are storing large amounts in large containers for months at a time, imo. Mine are all sitting in a jar.

I think the new boards are similar in voltage to the v1. Maybe you could just get 4 v2s, and arrange all on the inside or outside edges of your two slate 6s, so you'd have 2 of each on each driver. I'm not sure what the word is on mixing v1/v2 on the same driver?

Yes they would likely be better and yes you can do that, but you'd do better to get the 4 pack.

I run a 2.5x5x7. I know your space is a bit larger, but, In my space I run a 320XL from HLG, if I really wanna crank it I have another 260XL I can use alongside it. If I had to light your space Id use 3 or 4 260s, maybe XL maybe not, depending on fit. But that's just me, and I like QBs.

I have that small phone lense and a magnifier app. The problem I run into most is just holding the phone still while trying to take a macro. This is just zoomed in on my phone, no lenses. It's ok but I'd like to get closer.

Don't toss calmag down the drain. What I do is (if it is brand new, never used) soak it for a day in some Florakleen or Cannazym or even Herculean Harvest, the point is to break down any accumulated salts from manufacturing. Rinse all that shit off. NOW soak it for another day in calmag. Just...
