DIY, $1 Microscope 20x wide zoom

Just wanted to share this info in case no one has documented this. So I stumbled across a very inexpensive way to Microscope your buds at that exciting time of cultivating. I've used the Carson microscope but find it very frustrating to look though such a small, long lens, and try to keep focus. Especially when trying to take pictures through it. Most digital microscopes are expensive. Although these tools may zoom in more the 20x, I find that you really don't need more then 5x to see trich colors. So for only $1 I ordered a macro lens that attaches to my phone off of wish. com. I then downloaded a free Microscope app that allowed my phone to zoom up to 20x. So with a decent phone camera and a dollar lens you've got yourself a nice Microscope. It even came with a fisheye lens, and a wide angle lens witch was fun for a bit. You really don't even need the Magnifier app. Just zoom like normal on your phone camera. I only like the magnifying application because it allows me to quickly zoom out to position the camera over the area in which I would like to zoom into. Also, it gives me crosshairs to help with better accuracy over where I would like to zoom in.

I just use a jewelers loupe and hold it over the phone lens.

I have that small phone lense and a magnifier app. The problem I run into most is just holding the phone still while trying to take a macro.
This is just zoomed in on my phone, no lenses. It's ok but I'd like to get closer.
