i use 2 or 3 plates on top, it isn't heavy enough to hold the straightener down so it pops open when you raise the arbor press. I have needle nose handy so I can grab the corner of the 2.5x2.5 plate when putting the material in or taking out.

remington wet to dry straightener, there is one with small plates and one with 2inch plates it is like 25 bucks and the lowest i goes is 270 to 280, but it holds that temp pretty well.

Indeed, I sat down with the owner of airmite Bob, for lunch, he said RT is asking for trouble because the units were never intended for being used above 120 PSI and RT is telling people to crank them up to 140 150 psi RT's press is based on a dps19...

what equation did you use to get that answer? I am going to modify the plates I made to a little smaller size, my ultimate goal is to be able to double the number that can be pressed at once, when I received the press from RT I was very disappointed at the plate size I was told they where 2x4

well I am just over 4700lbs so cut the plates down in size, or swap out with the dps58 that does just over 7000 at 120 psi.

Thank you that actually opens up a few different possibilities, I can take that chunk and actually have a space milled out for a temp probe and mill out the top a 1/4 inch and add threading.

worst case scenario I will have to get different plates made or get the dps58 which that idea doesn't sound bad. what I have done is doubled the pressing for and increased the surface area by 3 times, might have to cut the surface area back to 2x the RT's press. Also I am liking the 90 micron...
