Flip now. A proper scrog is when you pull the tops down under the screen _during_ the flower stretch, not before it. These are going to grow right through that screen and you're going to need another one to just hold up the colas from flopping over because they're so tall.

Amazing first grow! They look a little overwatered, and the brown splotches could be from root rot. Let them dry out a little more between waterings. Also, maybe try a bacterial supplement for roots like botanicare hydroguard. I usually use more than 30% perlite with promix and happy frog is...

My favorite dry fertilizer is Flora Flex and it's what I currently use. My favorite bottled fertilizer is Dyna-Gro. I give an honorable mention to Botanicare.

    DIY with Quantum Boards

I've got an old QB304 running at 70w on a minimal heatsink and I still keep a fan pointed at it because it gets hotter than you would think it should at 70w. There is a reason they moved up to the slate heatsinks. You should be fine, but definitely point a fan at it.

    DIY with Quantum Boards

Even if you don't "need" a heatsink to run the 288's, they're not as thick as the 120 and 132 boards so it's really fragile. Also, running a heatsink is going to make them run cooler than if you don't run a heatsink, and that gives you a little free efficiency boost. Just buy the heatsinks...

Had an idea for curing large amounts of bud. Is it just a highdea?

Nobody cures weed. It's not economically viable. Even legal commercial grows don't do it because everyone is used to smoking uncured weed so nobody complains.

Had an idea for curing large amounts of bud. Is it just a highdea?

There are companies that are trying to develop a big 55 gallon drum that you can just put dried weed into and then let it sit in there sealed up for months on end with the machine managing the gas exchange through little tubes, but none of them work yet. It's still a pipe dream.

Had an idea for curing large amounts of bud. Is it just a highdea?

Curing is an extension of the dry room, only in jars. If you just left the bud in a 60%RH room for 4 months, that would cure it. The difference between a vacuum sealed barrel and a dry room is the room has gas exchange so it won't get depleted of oxygen. The reason we cant just put weed in...

Had an idea for curing large amounts of bud. Is it just a highdea?

If you dry something quickly and it tastes bad and makes you cough, it's not because it wasn't cured, it's because you over-dried it and a bunch of bad-juju happened chemically that you can't reverse. If you dry something slowly (say 14 days) and it still tastes bad and makes you cough, it's...

    My First Flowering Stage

They definitely help. The only problem is they're the most expensive option available. I'm about to pull the trigger on a CO2 burner just to save on operating costs.

Had an idea for curing large amounts of bud. Is it just a highdea?

Most people who cure just dry for like 10 days in 60%RH and 60-65F and then "sweat" the bud in garbage bags or rubbermaid bins. Just seal them up for like 6-12 hours so the moisture in the center of the bud can move out to the outside surface, then put them back in the dry room on mesh drying...

Had an idea for curing large amounts of bud. Is it just a highdea?

That's my point. A small shoe box with like a half pound of bud in it molded up in a matter of days. Imagine what a 55gal drum would do.

Had an idea for curing large amounts of bud. Is it just a highdea?

The entire point is to treat 200 pounds of WET weed. If it's already dry then you don't need to dry it. You can just seal it in jars.

Had an idea for curing large amounts of bud. Is it just a highdea?

Well you said "after drying for a week" which means you already need a room to control the temp and humidity or you will literally destroy the crop in the first 3 days. And if you have control of the environment in a drying room then you don't need paper bags. A good dry is part of curing but...

Had an idea for curing large amounts of bud. Is it just a highdea?

A friend of mine tried this with a small-ish cardboard box and everything got moldy instantly and nothing dried.

Had an idea for curing large amounts of bud. Is it just a highdea?

The bag method is drying, not curing. You don't want barrels of wet bud laying around, no matter how breathable the material is, the buds themselves will trap humidity. Just build a dry room and dry properly, then cure in whatever near-airtight container you please. Bins, bags, whatever...

    Newbee looking for tips

Yet he does wacky stuff like dry organic amendments in coco coir that he obviously didn't read in any guide. I wouldn't be so miffed if he was just spreading the bro science gospel of 20 years ago, but he's coming up with new and innovative ways of being wrong.

Mr Canuck's grow is telling hundreds of thousands of people on youtube to run their LED tents at 75-77F and if you tell him that's too cool for an LED tent and explain how HPS light has IR and LED's don't so it changes the leaf surface temp he just comes back with "That's stupid I've never read...

Killer info for setting up a CO2 equipped grow room!

I got a $27 air quality monitor from walmart.com. It told me that I have elevated CO2 levels, but not elevated enough for it not to be worth installing a CO2 system.
