    HLG 65

i would say run that no point in spending extra with that light, upgrade to better later. also at worst if you did feel comfortable with DIY, some strips wouldnt hurt, and eventually you could just keep adding until you replaced that light

adding extra 660nm is nice helps alot and is really easy, UV can help as well. did you settle on keeping the burple or decide HLG, ect?

new qb - help me decide before i waste my $$

You really shouldn’t have any issues with that light in that space, with those fans. I had no in flow fan in a 4x4 running 720 watts, and just a 6” hyperfan and it kept kept tempts around 82. At worst you could look into strips if it worries you that much.

Small.. No tiny clone/seedling room. Light recomendation

A single qb132 or 120 would be great in this area... run it only a 20-40 watt driver and dim as needed

Those are just as expensive as a kit from hlg, I would of thought they would be a lot cheaper.

Pretty much, you’ll probably be best off grabbing a hlg off of eBay over some of the Chinese stuff or grab a 4 pack of either qb120 or qb132 from hlg and get drivers for them. Always nice to have extra lights, could always use 2 in your flower tent and add yourself a veg tent with the other two

    DIY with Quantum Boards

You just need 30-40 watts per sq ft so you are at 320 add another 60-100 watts and your in a good spot.

Stick with parallel, hlg-240h-36a for qb132 and hlg-240h-24a for qb120, much easier then series.

No I get that, and I was like him 4 years ago as well, I knew how to wire a light in my house up and wire plugs but this was all so new. If he can save 200$ on diy and get the satisfaction of building it himself. I remember there being some diy builds that showed you everything on YouTube for qb132

10 minutes of work you can build something with qb132 or qb120 or qb96, and have an amazing amount of spread and get a amazing return on your energy and overall cost compared to those burples.

You probably could flower with the hlg 225 on the lower end. You could get away with a hlg 100 for a 3x3 space. I think you only need 8-15 watts per sq ft in veg

LED Recommendation for 4x4 (Good for whole cycle)

HLG qb96 would work as well great results as long as your willing to diy. 4 qb96 and 2 320 watt drivers gives you a ton of light
