Recycled Organic Living Soil (ROLS) and No Till Thread

Thanks! I will look for these. And lava rock, you say? Is it inferior? I ask because you said I can use it “in a pinch” I’m in Canada and I find it can be hard to find the same products here, so any suggestions are helpful!

Recycled Organic Living Soil (ROLS) and No Till Thread

You added in this second part afterwards, can you clarify a bit more? Instead of just saying “if you wanna do the same shit smh” I was, in fact, going to do a no-till and incorporate some sort of cover crop/top dress/ use compost and worm casting teas. By all means, if there’s an argument...

Recycled Organic Living Soil (ROLS) and No Till Thread

No-till is specifically what I asked about, and you even said it in the first sentence of your response. Then you went on forever about something you’ve already posted about(which I had already read) and didn’t answer my question, you just told me what you do....great! Anyways... can anyone...

Recycled Organic Living Soil (ROLS) and No Till Thread

Yeah I’m just wondering what aeration to use... And I’m no expert, but that’s definitely not no-till... When you re-mix your soil and ammend it, you’re tilling the soil... Interesting about coco, but I’m going to probably go with the traditional no-till route. That said, anyone have ideas on...

    No-till aeration?

Hey guys, I was just wondering what a good ratio of aeration/compost/peat I should be going with, as well as any input on which aeration would be best? I can get perlite for $1/litre ($4/gallon), but I’m filling a 60-75gallon container with it, so I’m just wondering if there are better...

Recycled Organic Living Soil (ROLS) and No Till Thread

So I’m looking to start my organic no-till bed in a 3x3 foot tent. I’m going to be using this container https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07QGSCCQC/ref=pe_3034960_236394800_TE_3p_dp_i1 It should hold between 60-75 gallons of soil, but I am wondering how much aeration I will need? I’ve read as high as...

    Drainage in Large Fabric Pot

I’m in the process of setting up a no-till organic garden in place of my old setup. This is the pot I’m going to be using, it should be enough for my 4 plants. https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07QGSCCQC/ref=pe_3034960_236394800_TE_3p_dp_i1 What I’m wondering is, how I would be able to prop that up in...

    Organic Soil

So I found this... https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07QGSCCQC/ref=pe_3034960_236394800_TE_3p_dp_i1 It would fit in my 3x3 tent and should accommodate 4, maybe 5 plants in an organic no-till setup. I’m just trying to figure out a good, waterproof way to keep it a few inches off the ground (for...

    Old roots and stems

I I just checked the size of the 15 gallon pots, they are 20" across. The 10 gallons are 16" across. So I could either fit 4 of the ten gallons, or two 10 gallon and two 15 gallons. (they are the same height) PS- I will most likely switch to 4 plants... seems better for the space if doing no-till

    Old roots and stems

I would like to get into the no-till method, I just learned a few minutes ago that you need 15-20gallons per plant for no till. I am in a 3x3 foot tent, growing 5 plants in 5 gallon smart pots at the moment, what would my best route for no-till be?

    Old roots and stems

So that’s just one root ball, eh? What else did you put in with it, and how long did it take?

    Old roots and stems

Ok, so I am planning to switch into my amended organic soil in a couple of months. After my first harvest in the organic soil, you're saying I should wait 4 weeks to use that soil again? I was planning on just reusing the soil for every grow cycle, wasn't accounting for time between to 'cook'...

    Old roots and stems

What do you mean by recycle mix? Can I just compost them? I should probably mention this was NOT an organic grow, and my current one is still from the old soil, so not actually organic yet. I will, however, be switching to organic AFTER this cycle, after building a living soil mix. And I...

    Old roots and stems

Just finished my first grow, and I have a ton of roots and stems leftover. My question is, should I toss them in the compost? Will they take too long to break down? Or is there a better use for them? Thanks! This was just them right before chop!

    Eggs in soil?

So I’ve just purchased some soil to add to mine, and after mixing it, I noticed these little red balls. They are hard on the outside, and have a squishy substance on the inside of some, some have nothing. The ingredients listed on the bag are: peat, compost, and vermiculite. The warehouse it...
