Sealed with co2, do i ever need to vent?

It doesnt become a real problem until youre passing 4000ppm or so, even then it starts with headaches. I think you have to go much higher to really be in danger. In my case, i would need a failure of both the regulator and ppm controller to get into that situation. The flow rate id be running at...

Sealed with co2, do i ever need to vent?

Why? For safety reasons? 1500ppm is not a problem for people. Not uncommon for house to be between 1000 and 1500ppm just from breathing and not great ventilation. I mean its not super healthy to live at 1500ppm, but surely not a problem for going into a room short term. Do you mean for some...

Sealed with co2, do i ever need to vent?

My room is all ready to switch over. Light has its own isolated venting, room has ac and dehumidifier. Already tested it sealed and i have no problem holding temp and humidity where i want without venting. Is there any other reason to vent occasionally if temp and humidity are good? What about...

    the smell of veg plants

ok, i guess i should be able to slow them down enough. I suppose another option is cloning the clones once they're too big

    the smell of veg plants

i have 4 bruce banner #3 plants from seed going in veg right now, couple more weeks before i flower. Im really surprised at how massively different these 4 phenos are so far. completely different leaf structure, plant structure, color, and smell. I have one plant that is an absolute monster...

    rdwc inline filter?

firing up the rdwc build tomorrow. Just crossed my mind, should i be running a coarse filter to prevent root bits from passing through pump and chiller? wont be running the chiller right away, but it will be added soon. If i do need a filter, any recommendations would be great. im running a...

Will it stress veg plants to skip a dark cycle?

Sounds good, figured it shouldnt be a problem. This weekend im switching it over to the new rdwc setup and sealed room with co2. Finally ill be able to hit optimal vpd levels. For the last month ive been dumping 5 gallons of water into the air per day and rh never rises above 50. Now i just need...

Will it stress veg plants to skip a dark cycle?

Grow room is getting changes and plants need moved out while i do the work, preferably during 6 hour dark cycle. I dont have a dark room to put them in. Could get it kinda dark, but not really. This shouldnt stress the plants right?

Dealing With RH in Small Space

Isnt that backwards? Cold air holds less moisture. Condensation happens when warm air hits a cold surface because as the air cools, it cant hold as much moisture. Although It is true that as you decrease the temp of air, the "relative" humidity will go up. The amount of water vaper in it stays...

Interveinal chlorosis, rust spots, edge burn

Couple weeks ago i ordered the small starter pack of cultured solutions nutrients. Wasnt sure if i was gonna wait until next grow to try them, but im thinking now might be a good time. They seem to be very well tuned for dwc with a very specific feed schedule that has realistic ppm values for...

Interveinal chlorosis, rust spots, edge burn

New toy on the way! Found the gaurdian for 265, but was gonna be 290 after shipping and they were offering the gaurdian connect for 350 shipped so i just went for it. Ill ne able to monitor ph, ppm, and res temp 24/7 from anywhere on my phone. Sounds like an unnecessary luxury, but its actually...

Interveinal chlorosis, rust spots, edge burn

Sounds good, maybe ill try lucas for a while if i dont see improvement from recently adding more calmag. If running 1:1:1 plus calmag, how much ppm of calmag is a good starting point? Also would you agree that im looking deficient in calcium and magnesium? Oh, reread your post. So if 1:1:1, go...

Interveinal chlorosis, rust spots, edge burn

Yes, calmag, then micro, then grow, then bloom, then ph, let sit for a while, then hydrogaurd. First couple weeks i was running 1:1:1 grow bloom micro, last couple weeks ive been creeping up grow and down bloom

Interveinal chlorosis, rust spots, edge burn

Agreed 100%, good grow starts with good instruments and ive been putting it off way too long. I think i have been at least very close since i calibrate with 6.86 at least weekly, but it could still be off slightly without the 4.0. Plan was to get the bluelab gaurdian since it will make my...

Interveinal chlorosis, rust spots, edge burn

Yeah im thinking so as well, especially since i found out my ppm was reading high at lower numbers. Wasnt giving as much calmag as i thought. I brought it up night before last, so far they seem to like it, we will see in time. rkymtnman has been really helpful in my other threads about dwc...

Interveinal chlorosis, rust spots, edge burn

Ok, thanks guys. Ive been religiously checking my pens since the start of the grow. I bought a pile of the ph calibrator packets so i check against one if those at least once per week. Been calibrating my tds to a 1000ppm solution but i found out yesterday that wasnt good enough. Decided to also...

Interveinal chlorosis, rust spots, edge burn

I range from 5.8 to 6.2. I try to let it wander back and forth a bit. Over 6 locks out iron, but ive also heard under 6 locks out calmag. Either way, i think ive given enough range between 5.8 and 6.2 for ph to not be an issue.
