The BL guardian is fantastic! If not for the price I'd have 1 for each of my 2 reservoirs. If funds allow they are pretty dam sweet. Half my hatred of ph adjusting or making a res is just monkeying with the instruments. To have a monitor staring at you from the wall displaying the vitals is as convenient as you can make the process. Even if I had to replace the ph probe every 6 months from sitting in solution constantly the convenience would be well worth the expense. I would have no reservations recommending the guardian. It will serve you well for many years.
Ok, ill bite the bullet and invest in one. Im sure ive wasted a couple hundred on crap meters over the years

The yellowing between veins should be easy just add epsom its so cheap and can foiler with it.I use a pinch in my 500ml sprayer. Its easier to just add to my res.About 50ppm.

We've all been there. After upgrading to 2 reliable units 2+ years ago I've had no problems with accuracy. Aside from Jack's and LED lights it's the 3rd best upgrade I've made for the garden over the years. Takes all the frustration and guess work out of the grow process.

New toy on the way! Found the gaurdian for 265, but was gonna be 290 after shipping and they were offering the gaurdian connect for 350 shipped so i just went for it. Ill ne able to monitor ph, ppm, and res temp 24/7 from anywhere on my phone. Sounds like an unnecessary luxury, but its actually gonna be really useful. Every morning before work i have to go down into the grow to see if any adjustments are needed. The regular gaurdian already would habe made tjat process much faster, but now i wont even need to go down there. Just glance at my phone and if all looks good, no need to go down there. Gonna be pretty sweet going from individual bucket dwc with crappy pens to a recirc setup with guardian connect

That connectivity feature for remote monitoring is actually pretty sweet. Congrats on your sweet new equipment! It'll serve you well for years to come. Quality equipment in the garden makes all the difference in the world getting the job done quickly, efficiently, and accurately. Excellent score :)

Couple weeks ago i ordered the small starter pack of cultured solutions nutrients. Wasnt sure if i was gonna wait until next grow to try them, but im thinking now might be a good time. They seem to be very well tuned for dwc with a very specific feed schedule that has realistic ppm values for that type of growing. I feel pretty confident i will get my plants back into the proper balance by following their schedule exactly. Really the only variable they leave is 1-2ml per gallon of coco cal and i will start at the upper end of that. With GH there is just such a huge variation of recommended strength and ratios for dwc. Ive seen multiple grows now where guys tried cultured solutions for the first time and just followed the schedule exactly for dwc with amazing results. I think between having a proven well balanced nute schedule along with the addition of the bluelab gaurdian to ensure i follow that schedule, i should get good results without having to guess.
