does anyone have side by side pictures of defoliated vs undefoliated

Look calvin, I know it works and so do you, I have been doing this on my crops for the last few years, strip about 70% of the fan leaves in the first 2 weeks in flower and remove all the stretched shoots, the buds have more room to grow and they fill the space in no time, I don't want loads of...

These look ready for some nutes?

I do the same as you, shake the fuck out of the roots, keep as much soil as possible and top it up with some sand, perlite, and about 80% compost, then add the dry nutes, I total drench the plants in veg before potting up in dry soil. I remove the roots because they block drainage holes, root...

    Extreme Defoliation...

I don't know about that, one thing removing all the leaves but the OP is also doing Electric Shock Treatment, maybe 15 minutes every hour could help, each to their own.

    Extreme Defoliation...

@bk78 you took the leaves out of the flower room, then chucked them on the front room floor, and lifted one leaf up to take a picture, where the pots and stems, something is not adding up, this will make the room stink of weed.

I have to leave town for 4 days....

Each to there own, I have tried it both ways and without the dome, I have seen wilted seedlings and lost them, leave them for 2 days, temps a little high 28c, humidity drops and there dead in no time. Most garden centers sell humidity domes and seedling trays inside.

Newbie trying to scale it up!

I would go for 4 x 1kw de HPS in a 3m x 3m room x 2.4m high, you will have to build the room, 12" rvk fan and 12"filter will do a great job in this space and you will need an 8" rvk intake fan,

I have to leave town for 4 days....

Young plants and seedlings need high humidity, up to about 80% humidity dome helps small plants with low humidity. can't believe you don't know this.

I have to leave town for 4 days....

I mix up some soil, pot up and flower the plants off, water every 3-4 days (4ltrs each) may top dress once or twice in flower. I don't use PH up/down and I don't check the water EC level, also I don't have to water every day. With a large tank of water and a pump, I could set the pump up to...

    Extreme Defoliation...

That's great, just bear in mind lots of new growers will be looking at your diary and copying what you do, guess you're not watering for a week and you have cut the food back by half as this will cause the plants some level of shock?

    Extreme Defoliation...

Not if the facts are true, if you think bk78 does not enjoy winding people up you are very naive. Internet troll jumps on and winds everyone up, I am more than happy to help anyone, but if I see a group of growers winding everyone up, I jump in and wind them up, just like everyone else.
