The man who knew too little. (Need experienced opinions more then facts)

For me, speed is the main reason to go hydro when talking about growth. Faster speed also means higher yield/year. The other is cleanliness and control; can visually improve a nutrient issue in 24-48 hours. All hydroponic styles work pretty well when optimized, coco DTW and ebb+flow are...

Aeroponic cloning question - Scraping Clone?

Yep those T5's will work great

4x4 grow tent and hid lighting

I've also run both; I find it hard to get 1 GPW with 600 whereas my last grow under a 400Watt in a 2'x4' space gave me 500g. OP go with dimmable 1000Watt, if not 2 400Watt will work for less energy usage and heat; some people like LEDs but you will have to fork over closer to $1000. I get...

    Hes a cloner

My current clone setup, I've cloned using every style, and this is one of my favorites. Also very cost effective and failure proof; don't need many when each plant puts out 1.5-2lbs.

What can I do with that hay smell?

Give it time, sometimes heady buds dont smell right until curing 1-2 weeks after dry. I like the bucket or tote method. Burp/aerate daily. Its an art, curing, so find your zone and run with it

Aeroponic cloning question - Scraping Clone?

There is a book I saw, its called grow 1/2lb for $100. dude uses cfls to grow 8oz. He corroborates my experience that they are great lights for those on tight budget. I can run to the hardware store, spend 20-30$ and have a grow light setup. That said I use t5 and HID, I have cfl for clones...

    Waterfall - enough bubbles?

Good info in this thread, switched from airstones to fluming or waterfall more than 5 years ago and never looked back. If you really want optimal/high DO you have to inject it from tanks anyways, so were not going for getting maximum O2, just enough to create healthy plants. Waterfall/flume...

Aeroponic cloning question - Scraping Clone?

Neither of those bulbs are any good. When we say blue we mean the color of the light, the higher Kelvin rating, not the color of the glass on the bulb. Called "daylight" ,instead of blue, at hardware store. Just get cfl; or T5s are superior if you got the $...

Week 6 of Flower - Leaves Yellowing / Spotting / Browning

Id only using a clearing solution, like sledgehammer, for the final 2-3 days before harvest; it pre-ripens the buds if used earlier. Best flush is 1/4 strength nute if using RO, or plain water if using tap. Yes PH adjust flush water, but hopefully its not necessary. I would not stop using...

    Bugs? Humidity? Ph? I’m LOST.

Dont feed with water in hydro, flush with water then resume regular feeding immediately after. Continue with water only stalls them, just went through that; no food no grow! Check input EC vs output EC. They look pretty healthy, dont starve em. Im assuming you thoroughly inspected for insects

Week 6 of Flower - Leaves Yellowing / Spotting / Browning

I would flush just in case then if you dont have EC meter. restart with regular nutes, in my experience as long as nutrients are given immediately after, flushes improve growth if there is any imbalance. Haha if only it were that simple! we all water with PH in correct range, but it can drift...

Aeroponic cloning question - Scraping Clone?

Air humidity is not really relevant with aero clones. also your clones were stressed therefore 14-18 days is a more realistic timeline. Water temp may be too high, try placing on cold floor or use cycle timer. Light may be on the low side still, I have LED tubes like that and I can only get...

    Drip feed in coco

Hydro or organic? For drip in coco, with hydro or hydro-organic, usually the drippers go on 1- 2,880 times per day for 12 hour lighting schedules. Regular feed is 1 time a day, multifeed is 2-12 times a day, and pulse-feed is more than 1 time per hour; up to 2,880 per 12 hours. I have been...

4x4 grow tent and hid lighting

This or 2 400WATT for HID; if only local hardware store, use biggest cfl bulbs you can find and buy or build reflector. You can get some great growth with cfls if need be

Week 6 of Flower - Leaves Yellowing / Spotting / Browning

Looks pretty good, possible high PH and EC in media. Check runoff levels

Uh the plants dead; media looks super dry. Bummer, except the 3rd photo that one is still good.

5 gal Bubble hash machine tips?

Looks nice, how did you get it into oil/gooey form instead of powder or pressed? Haha, no; cutting, chopping, ripping is how we say smoke it around here. Going to add bubble to vape pen?

Why change water in hydro system?

Its extremely difficult/impossible to do it visually, alone. Nutrient deficiencies don't show up in the leaf until 12-72hour after it already has occurred, so if only using visual you will be behind the curve and never in optimal growth. With that said a master who has experience with the...
