CURING FOR THE FIRST TIME QUESTION

First...patience is the most useful tool, yet the last to be employed and seems to take a back seat at times, usually when our plants are finishing. Second....Take all suggestions you can gather and collate pertinent info with your growing effort. That's gonna take time and "cultured" info...

manipulating light duration and plant growth possable new growing idea

The only thing you're manipulating is your belief that you're doing something ingenious when all you're gonna do is screw up an opportunity for fine bud. Mother natures time table can be adjusted but your idea is simply hogwash...wouldn't be more beneficial to adjust your understanding of...

    Germinating seeds....

Dunno. Any handling of a seed is not advised. But if you must, take extreme care to not damage any tail that may have shown...

    Germinating seeds....

For 15 yrs, I've simply placed a seed 3/8-1/2 inch deep in pre moistened medium, place on heat pad x 80 deg. 3-4 days, all good. Just germed 3 - 9 yr old seeds this way. Soaking, paper towels and fertility chants can't beat it.

Am i ready for harvest? 1st grow.

Nice buds but still some time to go imo and they'd be worth letting them go as long as YOU can stand it. First grows always provide anxious-ness to harvest but we must use patience to balance that. As impressive as a first grow can be, it's the patience that makes it impressive to smoke.

    Still struggling with spider mites

A One time infestation was enough for me about 10 yrs ago. Smothered my plants with dematiaceous earth while in full flower...discarded the plants cause who'd want to hear the crackle when ya smoke a joint but I killed dem fuckers......Hot Shot No Pest Strips is my only prophylactic since. No bugs.

Light distance to just sprouted seeds

All my plants, autos and photos, germ under 96w T5HO 24/0...always kept 2-3 inches distance for 3 weeks..then to a flower tent where cobs and qbs are kept at 12-18" and adjusted as plant needs.

Got to harvest my autos at day 72

I've got a brother like that...would drop a dime if he even thought I was growing herb. Avoid contact or sharing anything with him...he'll soon find something else to occupy his shitty mind.

    First LST grow.

Mattymatt is right. Not a problem transplanting autos as long as it's done on a schedule. I trans every auto and photo from a whittled solo cup to a 3 ltr pot at 10 days. Never an issue. It's all the other shit that causes issues.

    Pots

While the root balls may form differently from one container vrs another, if they're cared for properly, there shouldn't be much difference. I often grow in plastic, sometimes in fabric but my fav is air pots. Fabric and airpots require a little more attention...

What's everybodies favorite time to flip to 12-12 and why...

I veg everything 3 weeks on 24/0...autos and photos...then move to a flower tent on 12/12 after topping/fimming....keeps my plants canopy manageable for my 5 ft tent. Bit of loss in yeild perhaps but quality is my goal.

Several good auto breeders in the game now as there's been an explosion of new autos lately....everybody wants to get in the game...don't ya love all the neat names of just a herb... I grow a lot of fastbuds, mephisto and lately, rocbudinc has been getting a lions share of grow slots. I stick to...

Info for those confused auto light cycle

Guess some prefer ignoring comparative data and real world results. Not gonna get into my genetics choice or growing habits but using one word I used ..."few".... to throw shade isn't a positive message to new growers. Thought this forum was to aid growers with complete and accurate info...

Info for those confused auto light cycle

Been there done that. More light IS more yeild, taking all things into account, but the costs of obtaining a few extra grams just doesn't justify it...

Info for those confused auto light cycle

I'm probably one of the "oddball" auto growers but I grow autos alongside photos on 12/12....have for 15 years. Being an old retired guy, I like for numbers to match when ya think about cost to improve yeild with more light energy vrs how much yeild improves. The percentage of cost is far more...

    Soil recommendations for autos

FFOF is widely used and is a great medium if used correctly. Some use the Happy Frog version of FF as it's less hot. Personally, I use bio bizz light mix...and have for years.... bottom line, medium type is important, but it's how it's used that makes as much difference.

    Mother fucker

Brief light interruptions typically don't cause problems...it's the chronic shit that does. Pay attention to other parameters to make sure other stress factors are ok...your broken branches will be your only casualty.
