Few minutes of light during dark??

IMO....a brief period of light during dark will not affect anything...it's the constant leak that is more likely to cause issues.

    8 bulb x4' t5 died , led for veg?

Vegging doesn't need a lot of energy. I've used a 96w T5HO 2 ft/4 bulb fixture for over ten years, vegging 4-6 plants in a perpetual rotation for 3 weeks, then into a flower tent of combo 600w led......think I paid 75 bucks for the t5 back then. Still does the job.

When is the best time to top a plant

When I first started growing, I let everything just do their thing as most autos were small in stature but as the caught on, taller, lanky-er phenos emerged....seems now, top/fim is required to control height. I top/fim above the 3rd solid node....sometimes higher according to strain.

    Old/noob

Some of us older perpetual growers have seen so much weed grown under hps, it's like an old friend ya roll a doob with....so i's hard to turn loose... Although I've made the change to all led, I still use a hps alongside for heat during winter grows. Now running a combination of cobs and qb, I...

    Topping auto flowers

As long as a limb has some connection left, just tape it as close as original position as possible. Usually does fine. Yeah, blurple pics get very few kind responses.

    Flushing for too harvesting?

ummmm....that wasn't a broom I had in mind for my witch to grip.....

    Flushing for too harvesting?

I've split stems, drowned roots at harvest, chanted to the 4 winds of the east, and everything in between. All is happier now that I just let them be.

    Flushing for too harvesting?

Burn all evidence of whichever you do.

    Flushing for too harvesting?

Most perpetual growers have tried every option in that never ending search for the holy grail....over the years, we've starved, drowned, and beat into submission, and are still in search of improving something. Some say we can, some say we never will, some say try anyway, regardless how jerky it...

    Day 37 auto

If your plant isn't flowering by now, waiting to flip will only cause more vegetative growth which benefits a photo, but not so much an auto. I flip everything at 3 weeks, autos and photos, and everything flowers....has for 15 yrs. Never think an auto 'requires" more light, only that autos...

Two choices...nothing or Flip to 12/12 and stop worrying about it.

    Rocbudinc is open right now!!

Every seed bank has to devise ways to get around the stink of weed money so get used to seeing some diversion of payment requirements. In any event, Roc's gear is worth the adjustment.

    Rocbudinc is open right now!!

Everything I've grown of Roc's has been top shelf in potency and effectiveness. My fav has been ghost breath mint photo (a freebie)but grape mints auto close behind......I've grow a bunch of older Mephisto but being forced to restructure, it seems their dominance of auto strains have lost...

    First Grow Autos

Yes, I use 1 gal or less, sometimes 2 ltr....I do purposely move all to a 12/12 flower room at 3 weeks to control size of photos as they can dominate.....

    Of course not.....

    First Grow Autos

Since I only grow in small 2-3 ltr pots, sometimes I just germ straight to pot...the double solo cup method is most useful when transplanting to air pots as it acts as a funnel to minimize tunneling when feeding.

    First Grow Autos

Nice grow going. My first grows ever were autos...over 15 yrs ago. Ain't missed a beat since even through moves. Autos should be called timex...takes a beating and keeps on ticking. Tough little suckers but they have their limits. Nice setup...a heat mat would solve root zone temps in germ. Your...

Should I give this seedling a nudge?

Personally, I wouldn't touch it. Any manipulation of any part can and will damage something important cause right now, there isn't much there. Patience is your best tool as then you'll prob see that seedling do ok on it's own.

Using light as heater to sprout seed, is there too much light reflected off mylar?

I germ every seed in final medium, on a heat mat under 100w T5HO 24/0.....100% germ. Why would light reflection cause any issue? Growing weed is much easier than some seem to make it.
