What kind of light are you using?

You can flip the light whenever you want. Some guys grow 12/12 straight from clone or seed. If they haven't shown sex before you flip, they will soon after. If you're maximizing your space, you'll probably be flipping after they show sex anyway. Unless maybe you're growing in a tiny area.

Consider a little light LST on those girls. If you pull the tops away from the center of the plant you'll expose more side branches to light and those branches will take off. You'll get more in the end, just don't go too crazy with it your first time.

Height. They will sometimes double in size after you flip to 12/12. Consider the amount of vertical space you have to work with without the plants growing too close to the light and getting burned. Flip to 12/12 when they're halfway there or a little under to be safe.

I had good results using Green Cleaner mid-flower. It's non toxic and they say it's safe to use right up until harvest, although I wouldn't push it. Make sure you spray the underside of the leaves as well as the top. I avoided spraying near the buds.

I think so. My plants that have done this have always grown out of it. I'd really be interested in hearing from someone with more experience though. Maybe we're doing something wrong to get that new darker growth.

Seedlings don't need a ton of light. A couple small CFLs should be fine for 8 seedlings. Put the CFLs close to the plants.
