I've had great success with dwc you will be happy with it. I yielded 5.5 Oz off my first ever plant in dwc RP og kush last month. I didn't have as good of success with hempy. Just be sure to keep that water cool in dwc. Having the bucket on cemet or hardwood will help a lot.

You don't need to add dawn to it its great to go by itself. I have done it once and it killed my whole plant. It dried the leaves out and made them all wilted. Now I spray weeds outside that i Want to kill with dawn dish soap because it dries them out and kills them.

Price wise it's definitely better to make it yourself.

This sounds like it could cause way more stress to the plant. Like someone stated above if the plant is already rootbound it will slide right out.

Also a fan directly blowing on the plants will cause that too. It's just the plant working too hard transpiring as much moisture as it can that's why they do that.
