Newbie about to get started- Question on lights and space!

you never heard of LEC's because you are behind the times. Phillips put unheard of $ into the development of these bulbs, just came out last year. full spectrum, marginal heat.

Newbie about to get started- Question on lights and space!

not LED's, they are annoying and lack intensity. LEC's (Light Emitting Ceramic) are the new hot shit, WAY better than LED's imo for small spaces. Start with these and you wont have to fuck with Heating and Cooling, your two biggest indoor banes.

Want to Know If Your Plants are Finished?

if your plants fan leaves are green and they dont look like the fall colors that you see in october and november they need more time, if 80-90 of your pisitils are not brown and receded into the bud they need more time, if you look at the trichomes with a WHITE light and they are clear you need...

    Looks healthy but IDK??

peat pots are way better than rockwool or any other substrate combo for clones in my opinion. the roots grow straight through the substrate and pot, i use coco. they are all natural and they dont need ph treatment or anything, just fresh water in plain coco and hormex no.8 powder("for hard to...

i dont know about those three. I was looking on the eastern slop(the non rainy side of the state) of mt olympia washington, in wine country(tri cities), would be awesome . Dont go to colorado, too many growers, everyone has bugs and mildew. they also got the russet hemp mite out here, we are all...

    Helicopters and FLIR detection

yeah, a poorly insulated old attic isnt protection from flir. that grower should have piped the heat back into his Central Air system , especially in the winter. Plus, ir reflective material lining the attic would have made this invisible all the time, all the camera can see is heat. computers...

    Helicopters and FLIR detection

That ir reflective material does wonders for locking the heat inside your hood in an air cooled system. it prevents the heat from dissapating into the room!

one purple - one not. same strain or not?

maybe not the same strain, any root rot or root aphid issues will also create a deficiency. Also your ph should rise over time. you want lower ph in veg and higher ph in flower, look at a marijuana ph lock out chart.

    North Carolina

if you grow in nc with hid lights you will need either/or probably based on whether you grow in a basement or closet or attic. All very different. Its safe to say you will need AC, LOL in the winter you can avoid using heat with cleverly laid ballasts and lights

when do i transplant my seedlings?

always wait until your babies root out the pot they are in, that is, the root hairs touch all the walls of the pot but dont start wrapping around the pot and each other yet.

    High humidity??!

constant air flow in and out always reduces humidity, dont forget how relative your stagnant air is, just put a carbon filter for output and intake filter for input in place, and you shouldnt have issues anywhere. stagnant air is your enemy

Looking for any advise/tips on scroging

look guys, dont forget the ultimate point of scrog. the only reason to use a screen is to spread the nodes out to fill a perfect square quadrant so each bud site gets maximum light. when it comes to indoor yield its all about light intensity and bending your plants so every bud sight is at the...

one purple - one not. same strain or not?

purple comes out with the phosphorus deficiency as well, not just cold weather. looks like you maybe cut the nutrients a tad early and the natural death cycle started early, thats based on the "fall colors" to white pistil ratio that i see.
