I don't really need Hyrgozyme, right?

As far as I know, Hydrozyme is a former hospital cleaner, now being marketed to growers... It may be the most unnecessary "organic" bottle you can buy, seeing as it does nothing to the plant your growing besides "clean" your roots and soil. Skip this over priced hype.

    Cann's Organic No-Till Garden

Last year I had HUGE success planting in the "3 sisters" style. I made 3x3 mounds, transplanted sunflowers or corn on top, direct seeded climbing beans/peas next to the corn/sunflowers, and planted squash, watermelons and cucumbers on the sides of the mounds. Creating a trellis for the...

anyone get their garden planted yet??

KK, my season is a bit different... And, usually, I can plant them all season without bolting. But some varieties are MUCH better than others... As long as I keep sowing every 10 days or so, I can manage to have fresh greens all summer.

    Worm problem, Mites

Whenever I get a bloom of mites I just trap them with some "bait" made of wet paper towel, newspaper or kiwi skins/melon rind on the top layer. They tend to congregate on the "bait" and I just flush them down the toilet. After about a week of this, they are usually under control.

    Light Deprivation Greenhouse

So lets talk ventilation... I am building some light dep "cages" (only legal way outdoors for me...) in my backyard 6x6x6... My plan is to hook up an 8 inch inline fan, and suck out, using landscape drainage tubing instead of 8 inch ducting. My biggest concern is humidity...

    Worms in soil?

A coupe of experiments done by fellow site members, using Blumat drip systems vs. wet/dry cyles have shown that plants grown with the drip system yielded more dry product and were overall healthier/grew faster. Deep organic techniques allow worms to be integrated into a system very well. If...

    Hollow Stem Strains

One of my phenotypes of Dinafems Kush N Cheese has a thick ass hollow stem. After I harvested her, I cut the stem into inch long pieces and use them as little joint "filters" and it's pretty cool.

Soil Food Web Gardening with Compost Teas

I don't think you should have any trouble Bud, there are a few chemicals commonly used that may or may not evaporate out, but either way, if you have good compost, and reasonably clean water, you can brew teas. Rainwater is really good as well, and I also know many hydro stores near me that...

Recycled Organic Living Soil (ROLS) and No Till Thread

If you want to add mint as a COMPANION plant, then be all means, transplant it into a small pot, and bury that into your bigger pot, to stop it from aggressively spreading and stealing food from the real crop your trying to grow...

Recycled Organic Living Soil (ROLS) and No Till Thread

Try thinking about low growing mineral fixing plants... Clover, Vetch, Basil, Thyme, Oats, Peas...even Strawberries or Moss could be used. Mint is very aggressive, and will smother just about anything in its path, all while eating everything in your soil mix very happily... And Rosemary would...

Great set-up. The 3 bin system makes things really easy once its all up and running. And its also really easy to fork out one bin, into another. Thanks for posting the video and good luck on your set-up.
