LED DIY (planning, suggestions are welcome)

Hey, got a couple electrical questions... If you put a LED PCB (Multi-chip or Star) with LEDs onto a heatsink.. Is the heatsink safe to touch? Is only the +/- on the PCBs electrically conductive? or is the whole PCB? I'm thinking about trying a few multichips on heatsinks... or I'm also...

DIY LED grow light help wanted

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001CCGYU0/ I think any of these cheap CPU heatsink's would work well--if it can cool a cpu, it can definitely cool a LED up to a certain watt. Buying some decent thermal adhesive/paste *could help too. If my multichip Flood builds go well, I will try some of...

Down to Earth - Vegan Mix

Hey, I was wondering if anyone could advise on how to use this product best. Generally it says to add into the soil when mixing it. Also they say dressing the soil will work. Dressing doesn't seem to help much. It's a little too coarse to be mixed right in with water. But Ive ground some up in...

Yo, those plants look great have you added any Magnesium, or do you not need to? I have both the fert you are using and the Down to Earth Vegan Mix. Doesn't seem like there is much Mg in either. Im currently running the VeganMix, but its not quite powder--its quite coarse and has these black...

Well, how bad can these XPE's really be? For whatever reason the XPEs are a little more expensive than the XTE. Could it be worse than the no-name chinese LEDs that were supposed to work on these floods I got? Also, what is the best viewing angle? 90 degrees? I dont see any of these chips with...

Those 50w are nice, but the main point of what I'm doing is filling up these empty 30w LED Flood Lights(have 3 of them). I have 4 hans panels running, so these new chips would just be for additional light. (white light pref, since the hans has none) And the only 30w cree I see are the XPEs...
