Down to Earth - Vegan Mix

Hey, I was wondering if anyone could advise on how to use this product best.
Generally it says to add into the soil when mixing it. Also they say dressing the soil will work.

Dressing doesn't seem to help much.
It's a little too coarse to be mixed right in with water. But Ive ground some up in a coffee grinder and it is very powdery--will this work ok for feeding?

Would a tea work with these ingredients?

Generally speaking, this is a product that should be used as a dry fertilizer. Its one of the only amendements that I use in my vegan soil mix and it works great. Im sure you could make a tea out of it but you better make sure you strain that shit good or your gunna have chunks of azomite perminently clogging up your rig. I would stick with just using it in a dry soil mix though, theres a lot of products out there better suited for teas, then again I've never tried it as a tea so maybe it kicks ass, to each is own.

For a top dressing to work, you have to cover it with a little soil, mulch, or better yet worm castings or compost. Nothing is gonna happen if it just sits there dry on top of your soil after you water through it. It's gotta STAY moist so that your soil microorganisms can go to work on it. The layer of compost or mulch on top of it helps to keep it from drying out, and if that new layer stays moist, your plants will shoot roots right up into it.

Sprinkle a tablespoon or so of the vegan mix onto the top of each pot, rake it around a little, cover it with an inch or so of compost, and water it in thoroughly. Your plants will thank you.

Don't worry about grinding it. Those little "pellets" of azomite are actually powder stuck together with a "binder" that dissolves as soon as it gets wet. They bind it up into pellets like that so that it will work with fertilizer spreading equipment.
