once the leaves recede into the bud they can cause a mold or bud rot issue if you have high humidity levels. usually once they die back inside far enough, you can just pluck them out. also means you may be chopping soon too.

how old were the plants when you put them on 12/12? the plants need to mature before the will start to flower so a 6 week old plant will respond to 12/12 faster than a 1 week old plant.
