I noticed that cfls really arent that hot. Does the plant have to feel intense heat? And if so what kind of cfls or how many lumens? Or am i even making any sense... :) preferably someone who wants to help..ty

cfl's aren't very hot, not individually anyways
they will crank plenty of heat, but that's spread over the light setup
the idea with cfl's is to get them in tight, that produces good buds
but cfl's will burn a plant if they touch, which can mean a lot of adjusting
which many don't like to do

i thought my 400w MH was getting my room a little warm. i made 3 reflectors and installed 26 cfl's 100w equiv. it may be a little warmer in there now lol

if you have an open bulb, you can get them closer. installed in a reflector and you need to raise them a bit.
