I know its been said before, I got the idea from RIU. But, my own solution was to run a switch in series with the pot. This way you can break the circuit completely and KNOW you have max power. :) I think the 10k resistor in series w/ a 100k would be easier if doing many kits/lights. But...

Agree, I was thinking (3) V29s on a HLG-120H-C1050B(or A), for a cheaper and readily available option. You could add more chips & another driver if you prefer more density. Maybe, if you have some vertical space, (2) chips @ 1400-1750 could work if you can find an efficient driver combo.
