I have very hard water too. Its not a problem. I don't pH at all. That also 'can' lead to lock-outs, if incorrectly dosed. If using pH down, try not using it. and a small amount of cal/mag* with a dash of (N) is NEEDED for those plants. *for the Mg rather than the Ca. Ive not experienced...
