65 days from sprout. The smell intensity ramped up quite a bit. I could harvest at day 70 and be very happy. I’ll probably let them go a week or 2 more than that.

Transplant at around 8 days from sprout.

Fan leaves are the food pantry for the plant. People chop them not realizing that photosynthesis causes the leaves to feed the bud. The bud on its own can't really do that.

I trim out the lower popcorn buds and leaves for better airflow. I keep the fan leaves as they are the food pantry for the bud.

8 weeks from spout.

54 days from sprout. Lots of pistils have turned orange and are receding. 60-70% cloudy trichs. Powerful aroma.

This is what works for me. The seedlings go under a 40-watt CFL to stop them from being too leggy. I keep it just a few inches away. I end up with a plant with a pretty even structure. This Alien Vs Triangle wasn't topped but she had a very even structure. I started her under a CFL.

Now I am intrigued. I have never really looked into growing sativa. I think I might give it a shot. What would you recommend for someone who has never grown one before?

You are probably right. 15 weeks in flower is too daunting, so I have never grown a pure sativa. I have only grown hybrids and autos. I have picked up what was called "sativa" in several dispensaries in Portland. My takeaway is that there are differences from strain to strain...but after 40...

I arrived at the same conclusion. If I want a "heady" plant I just harvest it a little early.

Thanks. It became a path of lesser resistance more than anything. After f**king up so many other strains I found I had good luck with this one so I stuck with it. Trial and error....and a lot of dumb luck really haha... :weed::weed:

I notice that quite a few people try to combine multiple functions into their carbon setup. The problem with that is carbon is designed to do only one thing, and in order to do that properly....sometimes those purposes are at odds with each other. You can run your exhaust fan on high to cool...

It should exhaust out of the grow space as you need to exchange that air 10-15 times per hour. Or ACH. The exhausted air is clean, so you can vent it into another room. You need "makeup air" to replenish the air in your lung room, or the room that your grow space intake is pulling air from.
