It can be. Buddy has well and his last grow tastes like chalk when smoked. Even the fancy filter he uses leave a chalk(like) coating on your tongue. So watch hardness and other mineral/ nutrients but also if your well is under a farm field you could get farm chems leeching in.

Most likely the issue Iscoming from your water source. Flushing won't help unless you use distilled water. Tap water is nasty water pretty much barely suitable for washing up your body and dishes. Full of all kinds of chemical that are not filterable.
