Humidity issues (can’t get it up ) DIY ultrasonic fogger

I know exhausting out makes things tougher, just figured since the air I’m pulling would be coming from the doorway leading to the rest of the house and not the cold dry outside air, that I might be able to at least control it a LITTLE. I have a heater in the room really for lights out, I’ve...

Humidity issues (can’t get it up ) DIY ultrasonic fogger

It is, but I find it kind of fun trying to figure it out and dial everything in… the whole house is pretty dry… the basement is the warmest part of the house for some reason, so exhausting out is a better option for me. It’s a hot water gas boiler and water heater…

Humidity issues (can’t get it up ) DIY ultrasonic fogger

well that’s essentially what the diy fogger will do, is basically dump mist into the tent when humidity drops, but I feel like with the exhaust the humidity is always going to be low-ish and the fogger would Constantly run causing other mold and bacterial issues

    Ventilation drawing air from furnace

I think OPs tent is IN the same room as the furnace so this wouldn’t work in that scenario

    Ventilation drawing air from furnace

Venting within the basement will solve your issue

    Ventilation drawing air from furnace

its No issue other than I’ve explained above. If you have no fresh air coming in, the exhaust fan will pull the flue gases back down the furnace and into the tent because it’s the only place besides door and window cracks that air will get in. When you have other sources of fresh air (like the...

    Ventilation drawing air from furnace

why don’t you just run your exhaust to another area of the basement? The problem is being caused because you’re pulling the draft back through your chimney once you stop pulling the air from another outside source (in this case the 4” duct you mention). You can just run your passive intake...

    Ventilation drawing air from furnace

When you exhaust air out of your house, it has to pull the air from somewhere. It looks for the least path of resistance which in your case seems to be the chimney. You have to crack a window somewhere else in the boiler room (preferably) or basement
