What would you pick led or hps?

It's impossible to do controlled tests when the subject is as variable as commercial marijuana. You'd have to have just one cultivar and test it over and over. And then what good would that data be unless there was only one cultivar of commercial marijuana? Having a light that a grower could...

What would you pick led or hps?

It might lead to better lights and better weed if the light manufacturers start to make lights that have programmable and separate channels for each color band. That way, growers could simulate the way the Earth's atmosphere changes the colors of refracted sunlight according to weather and...

What would you pick led or hps?

Water droplets and water vapor are part of the atmosphere, too. I just posted the pic for a reference as to what the atmosphere can do to Sunlight. If you want to disagree, then that's fine.

What would you pick led or hps?

The Earths atmosphere acts like a prism for the sunlight. As the angle of the Sun's light changes in a given region, the spectrum will shift. Tilt of the Earth between Winter and Summer changes the spectrum as well as the movement of Earth all contribute to changing spectral input of the Sun. It...

Do you have a mammoth mint 8 or HLG scorpion Diablo X? Post here!

It's "funny" how the modern, hybrid weed has evolved to be less flavorful and ho-hum quality, even though the technology to grow it has evolved to be the highest quality. If you go back in time, you will almost always find that the historically-best weed happened when the technology to grow it...

Do you have a mammoth mint 8 or HLG scorpion Diablo X? Post here!

I use an HLG Red Spec 300. It works very well. I like their products and I really like that HLG kind of evolved from discussions on this website....Robin, Growmau5, Stephen and a few other experts were coming up with their ideas right here. EDIT: But the bottom line is that almost ANY light...

    beginners advice

I agree that auto flowers are something different than the real marijuana that people have been smoking for thousands of years. It's a new, trendy thing. I avoid giving any advice for auto flowers. My advice is to grow photo period marijuana.

Can Grove bags be used for hash?

The trim I used was a combination of a bunch of different strains....been saving some of it in the freezer for a couple years. The mistake I made was when I put it into the washing machine, I should have added some water and allowed the trim to soak until it was a bit pliable. But I just added...

    Ttystikk's vertical goodness

I have to confess that I want to try a vertical run....but haven't done it....mostly because all my lights are designed for placement directly overhead.

help when is it the best time in flower to clean up the bottom of plants

In Nature, the Sun moves across the sky and plants get more lateral exposure -as opposed to indoor grows that have (in most cases) a stationary light source overhead. I use a grow tent for my plants and the positioning of the light is limited. I trim up the lower third of larfy branches and big...

Can Grove bags be used for hash?

Wellllp...I just slabbed up 11 grams of medium-quality bubble hash that I got from my trim. It's olive-green and kind of translucent if you hold it up to the light....smells good...much better than nothing. I'll put the slab into a Grove bag and check it in a few months...*shrugs*

Can Grove bags be used for hash?

My understanding is that once you take the bubble hash and roll it with a warm roller to combine and soften it, you can slab it or roll it into temple balls, etc. and then cure it. A Frenchie Canoli video was where I heard it. Anyway, yeah if nothing else, the bags will come in handy for long...

I'm processing some trim for bubble hash and I was wondering if Grove bags can also be used for curing hash.
