Rained hard here today, glad I staked them before the last storm. Getting a little rot here and there; nothing that isn’t manageable. Starting to look at trichomes through the jewelers loupe. The Sholgar are around 30-40% milky; thinking done in 2-3 weeks - Waziri Repros getting it done...

No, the sneaker hash technique has been around for a while, Frenchy Cannoli and other hash gurus covered it - I certainly didn’t invent it. It’s just a way of applying a little heat and pressure to form the hash from powdery dry sift into something solid without having to tie your hands up doing it.

A reminder of why we do this. Here is some of the fruit of my labors last year - a quarter ounce hunk of hash from last year’s Tirah crop. Dry-sifted in February in the cold in the middle of the night out in the garage, kept the kief in the freezer until this week, and made heel hash out of it...

Glad you didn’t have a lot of damage. No tropical storms or much by way of thunderstorms this summer during the drought had me complacent as well, which is why I was out frantically staking the heaviest branches and retying the main stems higher up a couple of mornings ago just ahead of the...

Monterey’s B.t. that we spray on our plants has nothing to do with Monsanto’s genetically engineered crop program.

I spray B.t. to kill the caterpillars that create the environment for botrytis to get going, and peroxide to kill the rot.

And we’re off - Spoke too soon, the annual botrytis plague has arrived pretty much on schedule. Found it on both Sholgar and Balkhi, no shock as those are the furthest along and have the most dense flowers and vegetation. Already sprayed them all with B.t. this morning, will let it do its...

Found a better dead bug carcass, looks like a flying ant to me

Just lifted branches on the plants with the most dense vegetation to look for rot, so far nothing. Glad to have the Red Baron helping to protect the plants - Anyone know what these little flying bugs are? They look like small flying ants or something and every year I find dead ones on the...

Your plants look very happy. I’d say you’re looking at another month or so before chop. Warfox has given you great advice about the need to make war on caterpillars. Drizzled most of yesterday and several downpours today, so I’ll be whacking my plants first thing in the morning with B.t.

Rain all day on the SouthCoast after drizzle most of the day yesterday. I guess I’ll find out how resistant the new strains are to the usual plagues.

The location description is incorrect, I actually reached out to the seed collector in the pic and he confirmed it’s from Aybak in Samangan province. Pretty wild to be communicating on IG with a 73 year old Afghan in a global pariah country!

Popped April 1 with the others. Just slow, I’d say 3 of the 4 RK are three weeks behind everything else. Compare to even the slowest Waziri Repro -

Do you go by the 1 tablespoon per gallon of soil ratio I see mentioned as a general rule?

The leaves on this Rustam Kush plant look like they are deficient in something, but turning lime green and purple is a characteristic of the strain. Just wish it would flower sooner.

I use CalMag through veg and halfway into flower. Some plants need it more than others but it doesn’t seem to cause any problems. A few of last year’s huge plants developed interveinal issues (yellowing and spotting) and it took care of if. Cow poop is great, top-dressing with it kickstarted...

Last night’s bud porn, here is the Sholgar that is furthest along - And the lead Waziri Repro - I can’t recall seeing this much frost this early in past grows, thinking the TPS Signal flower booster is making a solid difference.
