    Talk to me

At 20%ish humidity and drip pans being used what's the realistic odds of that soil growing anything? Seriously?

    Talk to me

I didn't say that now did I..? My containers sit on blue foam board, keeps the roots away from the cold concrete and above the drain water. Now explain to me how the soil the plants are grown in becomes toxic once it hits the floor.

    Talk to me

Everyone is freaking out because there's like a 1/4 cup of soil on the floor of the tent. No big deal! What's going to pop out of that 1/4 cup of soil that think will damage those plants? "Closed environment"....are they still growing in soil? The same soil that makes up that 1/4 cup...

    Beware of Dougoxen420!

Why then would you order thru an individual rather than a seed broker/store?

    Talk to me

Looks fine by me, I wouldn't sweat the dirt on the floor myself. Millions of years of them growing from the dirt makes me think they won't mind the mess. Pretty dry though

    Beware of Dougoxen420!

How do so many people get scammed when there's so many legitimate sellers out there?

    Stretch

Varies wildly from strain to strain in my experience, some stretch 30%..others 300% Never sure what's gonna happen till you flip when growing from seed. I always have the hindsight to see that I shoulda flipped them sooner

    Long term storage

I'd still toss a o2 absorber in with it if planning to keep it around a while. Honestly I've kept jars full for 1yr+ and saw minimal degradation (sure there's some but not bad). I think the key is keeping it in a dark place where uv rays can't get to it.

    Long term storage

I've seen studies on food storage that say otherwise. Albeit very very low permeability but it still has more than mylar. I doubt it'd make much difference over the coarse of just a year but... Mylar bags free up the jars for better things.

    Long term storage

Don't know.. When I started growing again I discovered upon harvest that my foodsaver died on the shelf. It was my plan also. But after research and deciding on mylar bags and buying the sealer...I doubt it would seal the mylar bags. They are thick af. The impulse sealer is a weird thing. It...

    Long term storage

Jars would work fine with an o2 absorber. Easier to store bags though. But jars aren't completely air tight, the seal at the top isn't impermeable. The problem with foodsaver bags is the % of oxygen permeability. Aluminized mylar has a super low rate of permeability (near zero, close to...

    Long term storage

Exposure to oxygen causes oxidation and degradation, same with most food goods. Survivalist pack all of their dry food goods in aluminized mylar bags with oxygen absorbers. Makes sense to me, remove all oxygen and stop the introduction of new. Keeps stuff fresh for years. I use premade mylar...

    Useful Seeds

I get it. But it'd be cool if it keeps that look, make it the last but you smoke from that batch. Print stickers with the image of that bud and tell the friends you gift it to that it's...."real skunk....so real it grew a stripe"

Post pre-harvest and cured pics. I'm curious if it'll even be noticeable.

    Useful Seeds

I bought one of the b-spec 135 kits this fall to replace a 400mh that I used for veg. The 400w bulbs are pricey and low quality at the price I was willing to pay. The 135w blew me away, bright...bright..bright! They say it's the equivalent of 250w mh or something, I say it's as bright if not...

    Nicotine anyone tried it

You could buy pure nicotine at the pharmacy in Walmart as recently as a few years ago, likely still like that. I quit vaping and haven't made any e-juice since so I don't know. But if your looking to experiment I'd use the med grade stuff instead of half smoking cigars or cigarettes.

    Trellis ?

Bamboo stakes and wire ties work great. Cheap at lowes too. Stake each branch or stick 4-5 around the perimeter and form a cage with wire. They'll bend and lay over but won't break branches.

ALEXA TURNED ON MY LIGHTS :Accidental light during flowering dark period

What kinda power are you pulling from them though? Like I said I never had trouble until I went from 400w to 1,000. Even then I had intermatics heaviest wall timer, 20A. They seemed like the trippers just barely switched them and sometimes they wouldn't switch. I got fed up and bought...

ALEXA TURNED ON MY LIGHTS :Accidental light during flowering dark period

If it works for you.... To me it's just another layer of bs waiting to become an issue. But I long for cars with manual windows and locks. Less chips and expensive repairs. But analog timers aren't without fault. I've bought more of the plug-in ones than I can remember and wasn't fond of any...
